This has been by far my worse experience with any business ever. As soon as you call you get a sense of the type of customer service that will be provide. I had no choice because it was through a warranty plan I had purchased. To start off, they said they would be here between 9-12p, they did not show up till almost 4pm (missed an entire day of work). Next they said they would order the parts and it would take 10 working days. Nearly two months later, no parts, no return phone call (after being promised they would) and the same answer. One part will be here tomorrow and the other on back order and will arrive next Wed. Well...... four Wednesdays later, still no part, same answer, no return phone call. NOTHING.
Inappropriate customer service when coming into home for appliance repair and lack of service follow up.
Dec 2013 I purchased washer/dryer from Lowes with an extended 5 year warranty. In 2016 I made my first claim for my dryer through the Lowes Warranty Department, Ameri-tech was the service company contracted and sent to my home. The tech (***) came to my home, was rude, treated me unkind, damaged my the top of my dryer by sitting on it, and ultimately took this company 5 weeks to repair original complaint. In 2016 I went through all the appropriate channels of complaining that I was told to complete. Complained to the Lowes Warranty Department, the owner of Ameri-tech (who accused me of lying about his tech damaging my dryer top), and the general manager of Lowes at the time *** The manager of Lowes on my behalf spoke with the owner of Ameri-tech and at the time via phone call an agreement was made to complete the original requested service and to repair the damaged dryer top. Fast forward several months after my dryer was fixed, I was still waiting for the dryer top to be replaced. I no longer wanted to call Ameri-tech myself so I decided to contact the general manager of Lowes, *** this was when I found out he was no longer employed at Lowes. I felt defeated and tired of complaining. So at that time I decided to forgive the dented dryer top and move on.
April 12, 2018 I had to place a new claim, this time for my washer which had a leak coming from the detergent compartment. My warranty is still active until December 2018. I contacted the Lowes Warranty Department via text message (saved messages) and I was given a service date of April 16, 2018 Service# *** unfortunately it was still with the same company Ameri-tech. At this time I even informed to person who was assisting my claim via text of my previous encounter with this company and I asked if he was aware of my ability to request a certain technician. He informed me *** from Lowes) that they could not request a certain tech but provided me with the company's number so I could make this request. I did not remember the name of the tech I had previous encounters with, but decided to call and inform the same owner of my request with the best description possible. He seemed to know who I was speaking of and assured me it would be someone different. On the day of the service which was moved to April 19, 2018, the technician who arrived at my home was ***, the same person I had dealt with 2 years prior. Again he was rude and inappropriate. He used my restroom to have a bowel movement without my approval. He identified the area of the leak and upon leaving my home told me to 'be patient, the part will be here in 1-2 weeks'. He then left without providing me with any paperwork of the visit or issue identified. I decided to be patient and have been waiting. Today is June 18, 2018 and I still have yet to hear from this company about my ordered part for my washer. I called today at 11:18AM (XXX-XXX-XXXX) and spoke with someone who told me my technician would be contacting me, they didn't even write down my phone number. I feel as a customer I am left in the dark, playing games with this company. I spoke with a manager today from Lowes (***) and informed her of my experiences and how disheartened I am as a customer to be treated so poorly from a company that is contract through Lowes. This company is providing such poor customer service that I feel it directly impacts the image of Lowes. I am a nurse and I provide care to all kinds of people and I have been treated better by confused and altered patients then how this company has treated me. I do not know what else to do or who to contact because I followed all the appropriate channels for complaining 2 years ago and it was obviously all done for nothing. I provide quality care at my workplace because I feel I have great work ethic, is it too much to ask this from this company?
At this point, I want this company to buy my appliances from me so I can purchase new ones from Lowes with the assurance that they will have no affiliation with the designer. (Samsung, whirlpool, etc.) I just want to start over. They have damaged the top of my dryer. They have taken over 2 months to complete their assigned job. I know they like any other contracted company receives payment from their contractor, but how can this be if they have yet to complete their assigned job.
we have now repaired and completed the Lowes work order pending with Lowes customer *** , we regret that the time to complete the repair was so untimely , Parts for Korean made appliances sometimes take a very long time to obtain , the part needed for this repair was a factory back order meaning the LG company did not have any in stock to send . we also feel that some of customers Days anger is miss directed. We are subcontractors for Lowes CO. and have not collected any moneys from Customer *** in regards to a purchase to a new appliance or a warranty contract and are not liable for any delays or losses , as a note we Ameri-Tech Appliance repair does have a policy of our techs not using customers restrooms , but under extreme conditions our techs are human and some things cant be helped and for this the management is truly sorry and have taken note. We understand that lack of communication was also a factor in this matter , with best regards Ameri-tech Appliance Repair
I give the company a grade of F. Staff does not take customer complaints serious as it is not their fridge and don't care if food spoils. On March 15th, 2018 a diagnosis was done on a Whirlpool fridge by Ameri-Tech. They just tampered with controls and said the appliance was working fine. The following day, I had to call Ameri-Tech to notify them that the fridge was still not cooling and they responded a day later. The tech said he had to order a control board and returned to the house on the 2nd of April, two weeks after the initial contact. On the 3rd of April, had to call Ameri-Tech again to notify fridge was not cooling. The receptionist, John said he would send the tech back on the 4th in the morning. When noon came around on the 4th, I called John and he said they were too busy and would not be able to send a tech to the house. I told John I was going to report their company to Whirlpool, and he hung up the phone before I could finish. Prior to the installation of the control board, I would call the office to get a status check and nobody would answer or the phone was always busy. The company did not have the courtesy to keep me abreast of the situation. I had to call Whirlpool on the 4th and they assigned another company that immediately came by to assist. The tech from the other company noted that Ameri-Tech had done a poor diagnosis of the problem. Eventually my food spoiled as the fridge was not cooling to it's potential. This review is for future customers wanting to hire Ameri-Tech, just beware as they don't do quality work. Again, my grade for them is an F.
