Their Approach Was by a [redacted] Coupon Which was Limited to certain parts of HVAC system. They Explained all the additional charges before they started to do any work. After getting to know the system and EPA.GOV suggesting that an Air Duct Cleaning is between $450 and $1000 per Unit I was comfortable with the technicians. We spend about $2600.00 for the 3 Systems that were fully Restored(Meaning Cleaned Brushed Scrubed Satitized Deodorized and Mold and Mildew Protection). Also after 2 Years they have a great contract which is only $399 per System which I also signed up for. I Would Highly Recommend America Air Care to all my Friends and Family.

Purchased [redacted] for $49 ($275value) for one whole house air duct cleaning fore an entire HVAC system. Would not do it unless I pd $669.00!Purchased a [redacted] from [redacted] of [redacted] that they were offering at $49 (274 value) for One whole-house air-duct cleaning for one entire HVAC system plus one dryer vent cleaning.Cancelled once but rescheduled and arrived 11/18/2013. My house is 1600 SF. They looked around and starting writing an estimate! I said, "oh, this isn't going to cost me $49 dollars is it?" They replied that if they did just what the groupon was for they would be blowing all the dust to the main vent so they always cut 2 holes to get the dirt out. Total cost $669.00!I told them to just do the $49 ($275 value) cleaning. They said they could not because they blow the dirt and it has to come out somewhere.....so, I told them I did not have that kind of money and it was misleading!I would like my $49 dollars back. This is deceptive and an unfair business practice.Desired SettlementI would like the $49.00 check made payable to[redacted] and mailed to [redacted] XXXXXI should charge for the day off from work but I know I will lucky if I get the $49.00 back.They do not answer their phones.Also, bought the [redacted] and thought the company was "[redacted]" and the estimate and business card I was given is USA Air Care. 617-480-4380 www.usaaircareduct.comBusiness Response Dear customer you have to call indoor air of america because we subcontract from them the jobs. Complaint[redacted] Coupon. 1 Duct and 1 return to be cleaned. Would not honor coupon without purchasing additional services.Scheduled service promptly. Counted number of vents/returns. Presented $1000 quote for all services (including the coupon). Ordered $200 filter for HVAC, delayed decision on services.Two months later, finally scheduled delivery of filter, informed at that time I would only be availing myself of the [redacted] 1 duct, 1 return service. Company delivered the filter, did not perform service. When asked about this, and when they could perform the service, was informed they did not perform service due to "excessive dust in the system." "Coupon was not performed due to excessive dust in the system. I had given my guys the $500 package for you but they said that the only thing was the filter." When asked if that meant they would not honor the coupon, no response was returned.I still possess the coupon for which I paid $35 and for which I expect the service to be delivered. I'm not sure why a cleaning service would not be delivered due to excessive dust, but would be delivered if I paid $500. Of note, no $500 service was offered - I will happily provide quote, which references the coupon. They simply do not wish to perform the service I paid for.Desired SettlementI would like the $35 I paid for the coupon returned. OR the service I paid for delivered.Business Response The services can not be performed for the coupon only because the system is very dirty. We have ordered a filter for the customer and delivered to him to protect him. The entire system needs to be cleaned and we offered him a 500 package which is on the lowest end of EPA s regulations. If the customer wants a refund he can call [redacted] for that. They did not offer a $500 package and cannot provide documentation for that. They did offer a $700 package which contains $300 of treatment services not shown to have any efficacy by the EPA. The air duct is dirty so the cleaning company can't clean them? The work was not done at the time they came out because I was not ready to spent an additional $800 at that time and was told to take my time deciding - at no time did they say they would not honor the coupon because the ducts were too dirty. When asked if they were refusing to honor the coupon, they did not answer; when asked to schedule an appointment. They did not answer.
