My wife and I had 700sq. ft of new VCT (Vinyl Composite Tile) flooring installed by S&G. We needed someone to wax and polish it up for us. I searched the internet and came across America Clean & Bright. Carlos came out with his worker and said he could do the job for $600. Because of the new floor installation, we had furniture all over the place. So, the job needed to be completed in two parts. Carlos was only able to complete about 1/4 of the job because of the furniture. He stated that he scrubbed, sealed and applied a finish to the area he did treat. My wife and I noticed it did not have any real kind of shine. We also showed Carlos that there was a lot of debris under the sealant. Carlos advised us that we would not achieve a high shine because of the lighting in our kitchen......really, our lighting is the problem?? After some pushing he said they would come back and buff the floor. This was confusing because the agreement from the beginning was that the service was going to include a buffing. After attempts to reach out to him to finish the buff job, he has not responded. So, he quoted us $600 for the job, he poorly completed about 1/4 of the total job, and was paid $300. This feels a lot like a scam. The job was completed just a few days ago and our floors are not shiny and there is a lot of debris.

At this point, even if Carlos tried to call back to finish the job, I don't have confidence in his ability to complete the job correctly. This is especially true after talking to other flooring professionals.

I have since found a flooring professional who I trust and knows how to make our floors shine. This new flooring professional isn't blaming our lighting for the lack of shine in our floors.

[redacted]Also, as a side note, I had used Carlos before to replace a gate on the side of my house. When I hired him to do our floors I wasn't aware it was the same guy who replaced our gate. The gate is crap and has a hard time closing correctly. If I had remembered it was the same guy he would have never touched my floors.

I have nothing against Carlos personally, I just expect people to do the job right.
