Review: Long story: here are the highlights: ~Contract was for service from 12:30pm-5pm. Service was given for 2:30pm-5pm. (see details below)~26 passenger bus turned out to be a greyhound for 50 people. (not an issue had it arrived to the destinations when it was supposed to get there) ~transportation failed to pick up groom/groomsmen because it was "stuck"---and not to mention the company NEVER called ANYONE to tell them they werent coming ~bridesmaids and bride were picked up almost an hour later than agreed upon time ~The bride had to navigate to her own wedding while driver attempted to steer while texting on cell and holding GPS ~Bride was 45 minutes late to own wedding (which made everything off schedule and we were unable to take as many photos because we had to be out of the church) ~company kept blowing us off when we tried to call and resolve the matter after the wedding ~after several calls we finally spoke with a manager who was abrasive and non-committal to my husband about reaching a resolution- he said he would "call us back" and he never did ~we disputed the charges with our bank all the while still trying to call and resolve the matter with the company. After literally more than a month of calling nearly every day trying to speak with a manager, the manager answered the phone. The manager said "what is your point?" "did you file a claim?" I replied yes and his reply was "goodbye then." Called back immediately and asked if we could have a conversation and that it was not fair that I was being charged the full amount for half of the service that was promised. He again said he has nothing to say to me and hung up the phone. After going through this two more times I have gave up. ~Was only trying to speak with them because for a 4 and 1/2 hour service contract, only 2 1/2 hours of service was delivered and they refuse to speak about the incident with me.Desired Settlement: partial refund for the partial service that was received.

Per the contract that was for service from 12:30pm- 5pm service was only rendered from 2:30pm-5pm. A partial refund should be delivered. an appropriate amount would be $150-$200 refund of the $400 that was paid.

On June 7, we rented a 56-person coach bus from America Limousine & Bus Service Inc. They arrived promptly, however, from the start, the bus driver was hostile with my guests. After dropping us off at our destination and waiting for the proper amount of time, we were greeted with a furious driver. He claimed that we were late and were putting him behind.

Once we arrived back to our starting point, the driver became even more hostile, claiming that the bus was trashed. However, all guests put trash in trash bags that I brought and placed at every few seats. We also had five people clean ALL trash off the bus, and nothing was left on there. The only thing left to do was mop the floors, which is routine maintenance for bus companies.

After we were forced off the bus with our trash bags, the driver sped off and I received a notification from [redacted] that my card had been charged for a $500 cleaning fee, despite our efforts. I promptly called the company and was hung up on multiple times by Sandra and Tom after they told me they had pictures as proof. I proceeded to email them and asked for the images, but they didn't respond. I followed up several times after, but they only responded with incredibly unprofessional emails that were hard to understand.

Since then, I have hired a lawyer to represent me. After they received the first letter, they responded very rudely, not realizing that a lawyer had emailed them. My lawyer replied once more and they finally responded with false pictures and that they would rate the law firm negatively on Yelp. The pictures are clearly staged since no guest brought any of the trash included in the pictures -- namely the [redacted] cups, toilet paper rolls, [redacted], etc. You'll also notice that the same trash is strewn across the bus in different locations, which implies that they took trash and dispersed it to make it look like we left trash everywhere.

I also want to bring to your attention the negative reviews on [redacted] (http:/[redacted]) and the previous reviews on Revdex.com. It's clear that this business is run by liars and crooks. Others have commented about monetary issues with them, as well.

Please help us address this issue. Their emails are threatening, offensive and more than anything false.Desired Settlement: We expect the $500 to be refunded immediately. The accusations they've made are false, and their evidence is staged. It's unacceptable for a business to be operating still when they have had so many issues. I believe this company should be shut down.

I am rejecting this response because [redacted] rejected our claim because we signed a contract saying we'd cover any cleaning fees. Unfortunately, that's the case and that's all [redacted] can do. They don't deal with crooks making up stories.

Review: The business in question did provide the service it promised. We intended to rent a 30 passenger limo party bus with a bathroom, as it was advertised on their website. The driver showed up 45 minutes late with a bus that had a maximum capacity of 23 and no bathroom. When I contacted the company they told me it was not their fault. On the return trip later that evening, the same, rude driver returned with the too small bus, this time with a young child accompaning him. The bus broke down on the side of a major highway and the driver attempted to leave the group and the bus in a vehicle that was following it. It was only when the police were called that he agreed to arrange for transportation to get us home. There were things left on the bus that broke down that the bus company will not return to us unless WE pay THEM $500.Desired Settlement: We want the items left on the bus returned to us and a full refund for the amount of the transaction.

Review: In May of 2013, we hired America Bus to provide charter bus for a social non-profit trip to Atlantic City.The trip schedule for Sept 1, departed DC at 8 am as scheduled. Upon our attempt to return to DC, the bus broke down approx. 17 miles from our return destination location. A rescue bus was called to recovered the stranded passengers. The rescue bus arrive approx. 44 minutes after being dispactched from it's hub.I am requesting a $100 refund for the inconvenience fo the bus breaking down. We were refused on September 6, 2013.Desired Settlement: We would like $100 conpensation for the inconvenience of having to be rescured on a trip where faulty equipment should never be an option

Review: We ordered a 26-passenger mini bus for this past Saturday, May 4th (under the name of [redacted]). The signed agreement clearly states that we ordered and paid for a 26-passenger mini bus. Instead, what arrived was a 19-passenger mini bus. This is not what we ordered and what we paid for. We had ordered the larger vehicle to accommodate for our supplies for the day and our group of 20 people, and we did not get the vehicle we paid for.

After calling the company that day to find out what happened, we were yelled at and then told that it was our problem, not theirs. We had no choice but to squeeze into the 19-passenger bus and had to load all of our supplies for the day (tables, chairs, food, coolers, etc) in the aisles, under seats, on people, and wherever we could find space. We ordered the larger bus to accommodate for this. It was extremely uncomfortable for our 1.5 hr ride to our destination (3-hrs roundtrip) and we had to leave many things behind since the bus was too small.

We had gotten a quote for the 19-passenger bus initially and it was $650. We paid $800 for the larger bus. I called on Monday to get the $150 refund, since we clearly overpaid for the 19-passenger bus. I had to call them on Monday, only to be told that "[redacted]" wasn't there, would be in later and was the only one who could do anything about this. After calling again later, I was told that [redacted] would no longer be in that day, and she would have him call me (which never happened). I received an email response to my written, formal complaint submitted through their website:

have a good day ...."

I responded with an explanation of the difference in cost, and how shocked I was at their appalling lack of customer service and willingness to resolve the situation. I requested again that they refund the $150 due back to us. The response received:

"Have a wonderful day you and your yelp !!!!"

I immediately called and asked to speak to whoever was emailing me, and finally the woman put me through to "[redacted]." He hardly let me speak, obviously angry that I wrote a bad review (not responding when I asked him what was not true about my review), and told me that it was settled and I would not receive a refund. I told him I was his customer and this money was due back to us, since we did not get what we paid for. He refused, and then eventually hung up on me.Desired Settlement: The business has the responsibility to issue a credit of at least $150, the difference between the cost of a 26-passenger bus we paid for and the 19-passenger bus we received. Our signed contract clearly states a 26-passenger bus, which is not what we received.

At the very least, we expect to receive the difference in price between the 19-passenger bus and the 26-passenger bus. Again, we were quoted $650 for a 19-passenger bus initially, but went with the 26-passenger bus to have the extra space for our group of 20 people and supplies for the day, and paid $800 for the larger vehicle. We are requesting a $150 refund, which is completely fair given the fact that we overpaid that much for the 19-passenger bus, not to mention the trouble and inconvenience we encountered on Saturday (in addition to the rude, inappropriate and unprofessional behavior from who is apparently the owner of this "company").

Review: I rented a party bus for my 27th birthday which was supposed to take us to a few vineyards in Virginia. The bus was full of people and we were having a great time until... we tried to leave the last location and go back home. I had booked the bus until 5 pm and was told that if we ran over it would be an additional $75 per hour charged to her card on file.. totally fine and understandable. But the shady driver (who looked like he was hung over all day) said he was not moving the car until he had the fee in hand CASH. I called the customer service line and I was being yelled at by the rep ([redacted]) on the phone so loud that everyone could all hear her through the phone on the bus. They never explained why the cash up front was being asked for but we finally all got the cash together and gave it to the driver. He then put the keys in the ignition and proceeded to drive us home (yes he actually took the keys out of the ignition and refused to drive until he got the money... mind you this all happened at 4:45 when we still had 15 min left on the contract). I checked my statement the next day and they charged my card the $75 claiming we had extended our sevice until 6:30. The only reason we arrived late was because the driver refused to leave until we gave him the money. Had he not held us hostage we would have been there at 6 pm and we would have just paid the $75 for the extra hour in cash. So the driver lied (as did the customer service rep) and pocketed the $75 cash. Needless to say I am disputing the entire charge because it is obvious this company is a joke and lacks professionalism and integrity.Desired Settlement: Sinc they failed to provide satisfactory customer service I am requesting a FULL REFUND! They caused emotional distress, were very rude, held us hostage on the bus until we gave him his cash, a number of us were yelled at and treated very poorly.

Review: We contracted with the America Bus Company for transport services from the Downtown [redacted] DC hotel to the [redacted] for a luncheon. The contract specified 4 - 55 pax busses. The company sent out 3-55pax busses and 2 mini busses. We had a very short transport time schedule and I needed 4 busses and not one bus making 2 trips. They lied and said they had 4 -55pax busses, but they did not. The dropped off my group at a location that was not contracted and people exited the bus having no idea where they were supposed to go. They were late for the pick-up and I had 55 ladies waiting in the rain and heat for a bus that was lost or late...not sure where he was. On Sunday they were supposed to provide 4 busses at the hotel at 830am for a 9am departure. The busses arrived at 905am. I thought they were a no-show so hired 2 trolleys to take my group to their destination. Tried working with the company for a refund because their service was unsatisfactory and they sent me a nasty email and said too bad....

I believe this company should not be allowed to continue to do business. All attendees to this conference were out of towners visiting DC and they all complained what a horrible experience they had with this bus company. They are not reliable, honest or fare. Please do not let them ruined someone else’s conference or experience in DC. I will be pursuing a refund with a credit card company, but appreciate your assistance in filing a complaint again Ameican Bus Co.Desired Settlement: I would like a credit for the 2 busses used on Friday and for 2 busses on Sunday. I am looking for a minimum credit of $2000 from this company.
