At this time, I have been contacted directly by VZI Investment Corp regarding complaint ID ***, however my complaint has NOT been resolved because: The customer service at Tignanello was quite neglectful in the speed of their responsesI often had to send two emails, and then start
criticizing them on social media in order to elicit ANY responseEventually they offered: "We are able to send a replacement handbag to you. Please know that while we will attempt to replace your bag, we cannot guarantee we have the exact style still in stockIf that is the case, we will try to match it as closely as possible and hope that you understand" (emphasis added)I have attached a photo of the handbag I purchased (left) and the one they sent as a replacement (right)The only characteristics they share are that they are leather handbagsThey provided me with a large, beige, floppy, shopper handbag with short bucket handles to replace a small, compact, structured, teal, crossbody bag with a convertable strapEven the grain of the leathers are extreme oppositesThe original is smooth like calf skin and the replacement is grainy and pebbled like a Hell's Angels biker jacket. It should be noted that until I received the replacement, the only ownership information I had was from the legal disclaimers on their website (***)The bag which was mailed to me came from: Jason L***, Global Brands Group, *** *** *** *** ** ***I did some research online via Manta/Hoovers and found a connection between VZI and Global Brands Group, however, when I called the VZI, *** *** *** *** ** offices at ###-###-#### and tried to get through to the office of Rick Darling the CEO (maybe COO?), the administrative assistant told me (in a hushed voice) that VZI and Global Brands Group divestedLooking back at the Tignanello website, I suspect that was a dishonest deflectionAt any rate, both VZI and Global Brands Group appear to be a part of the Fung GroupGlobal Brands Group and the Fung Group have nearly identical documents on their websites called "Code of Conduct and Business Ethics." My experience flies in the face of sections and 11, "Relationships with Stakeholders" and "Product Quality and Safety," respectivelyI attempted to contact the compliance officers for both Global Brands Group and the Fung Group using the emails provided in the posted documentsBoth emails were returned as undeliverableIn full disclosure, I also emailed QVC, which now has an exclusive on the Tignanello handbag line to offer them my opinion of how the Tignanello brand will reflect on themI absolutely have tried to pressure whoever is behind the curtain at Tignanello to behave and respond in a professional and appropriate mannerBut the long silences, the breach of promise, and the breach of their own Code of Conduct leaves me unwilling to parlay with them any longerTheir behavior has been vexatious and unprofessional.
