This review is being placed here for the sake of my wife, who completed the AAWP course and maintained membership for well over four yearsUpon writing AAWP to cancel her membership, she was informed that her certification would be revoked due to not being a memberThis is nothing short of extortion, telling my wife that all her hard work of completing this course and putting up with this "***" lady, would only be valid if we paid them for the rest of her life Prior to my wife completing the course, AAWP completely redesigned the course just two lessons away from my wife becoming "certified"They informed her that she now must start from the very beginning and there was no option to complete the course she initially started We highly recommend you to look elsewhere if you're looking for a certification in wedding planning, as AAWP does not offer thisThey offer opportunity to be a certified member of their corrupt organization

The AAWP does okay training for wedding planning, though much of the information was very outdated and obsolete
But then in order to declare yourself certified, there is a yearly fee of $and upWhen that bill comes due, you suddenly receive an online bill that threatens to send you to Collections! I have paid that bill up until now to avoid any issues, even though I don't need to renew
This email is ugly and threatening and you get it even when you haven't received a bill from themAfter several years of wedding planning, I don't really need the proof of my credentialsThe AAWP has never given me any relevant information that truly helped me get started

We highly recommend you to look elsewhere if you're looking for a certification in wedding planning, as AAWP does not offer this. They offer opportunity to be a certified member of their corrupt organization.
