Review: On March 29, 2013 I signed a service Maintenance Agreement Price Protection stated for a one year cleaning plan for my dryer air duct and the actual cleaning and inspection of the dryer vent at that time. This is required by my condo association every two years. On May 26, 2013 I discovered that a bird had entered the duct and tore loose the hose to my dryer. At the time of service on March 29th a bird cover was installed to protect me from this happening. I call the American Air Tech on Sunday May 26th about 7:00 a.m. and requested that someone needed to tend to this problem. They did return this call about 11:00a.m.and talked to my husband and said that they would try and find someone to take care of my concern. About 4:00 p.m. I had not heard from them so I called again and just got the answering machine. Because it was a holiday weekend, I waited until Tuesday and called them several times during my work day and still did not receive a response, only the answering machine. Beside that, apparently there phone system was down from at least 8:00a.m to 3:00 p.m. until I could leave a message. I called again that evening and did talk to some and they said they would have Matthew contact me. I waited until the next day and no call. Now it's been four days. So I started calling again. I know it was at least four or five times, if not more. I needed this taken care of and so I had no other choice but to contact another company and have my dryer vent duct inspected again. On Thursday the new company came to my rescue and inspected my dryer vent and reconnected the hose. They also said that the bird cover was installed on the wrong outside vent. I live in a condo so there are several on the outside of the building. The last time I called American Air Tech I was so frustrated that I said that I would do everything I could to make sure that they never did business in my complex again and that I was going to report them to the Revdex.com. I have never been so disappointed in someones customer service like this before and also I having to pay additionally for the service that should have been covered by them.Desired Settlement: Refund of the Annual Cleaning Charge of $180.00 and the total cost for the new companies inspection which was $53.10. I would prefer a certified or cashiers check if cash can not be provided. An apology would be nice too.

Review: Since February of 2013 we contacted **. [redacted], Service Manager ###-###-#### of American Airtech Chimney - HVAC-Air duct - dryer vent cleaning and repair to perform a full inside outside inspection of our chimney and perform the necessary cleaning and repairs to it. They came and did the cleaning and repaired some bricks but to this date they have not installed the New Stainless Steel Cap quoted and paid in full on our contract. We have called and emailed every month since then (we can give you copies of each email sent since February until to date) but they have not provided response nor have returned our messages. On July 8, 2013 at around 9:45am we finally talk to someone called Michael who said they have been swamped with work and would call us back within an hour to schedule such work and to this day we are still waiting for his return call. We keep calling and now, they seemed to have changed the number so we can not reach them anymore.Desired Settlement: Please help! We want them to install the New Stainless Steel Cap quoted and paid in full on our contract immediately or refund our money back for such item also immediately.

Review: American Airtech was asked to do a chimney sweep and to install two chimney caps on my home in early January 2012. Despite a lot of back and forth on scheduling, we finally nailed down a date and they did the work. The caps were supposed to come with a lifetime warranty. Two weeks later, the caps had blown off the roof, indicating that they were installed incorrectly. To American Airtech's credit, they came back within a couple weeks to reinstall.

Fast forward two years - I have a problem with a squirrel which is in my chimney. I immediately contact American Airtech to schedule service. They quote me $99 for a sweep and no charge for the cap reinstall since this is covered under warranty. I attempted to schedule service no less than 5 times during the months of May and June. One of my last communications from them was that "they were on their way and stuck in traffic." Four hours later, they still did not show, nor did they reply to my calls and e-mails. On 10/13/14, I request a refund of $400 for the faulty caps or a counterproposal. No reply. Again, on 10/22/14 I ask for a refund or a counterproposal. Still no reply. I call the number on their website today on 10/23/2014 to speak direct and their phone number is turned off. I call Matthew R[redacted]'s cell number and he does not answer.Desired Settlement: I am requesting a refund of $400, the amount that I paid for the two caps and their installation. Please note that I am not asking for the $200 in pest control services to capture the squirrel inside my home.

Last contact information for Matthew R[redacted] and American Airtech is http://americanairtechhvac.com/faq.html, ###-###-#### (cell number - does not answer) and [email protected] (was checking mail in May and the last couple notes I sent them in October are not bouncing back, so the mail is monitored.
