Review: On 9/06/12, my daughter [redacted] and signed a contract with ADT, and was told by the rep [redacted] that signing with ADT we would receive 6 months free service and a check for $257.oo in hand the day of instillation. My daughter had continued to call the company at XXX-XXX-XXXX and spoke with a manager which told her that this is not the only complaint regarding the check. Since then we have not heard anything regarding this matter.ADT has taken $204.97 from my account since the instillation and we have not received the check for the $257.00. We would like to keep the service and receive the $257.00 check that was promised.The dealers License # is [redacted], Reps # XXXXXX. Dealer # XXXXXXX

Review: Business is charging more than the monthly rate on my contract. I have contacted them multiple times, but they have failed to resolve this.

I signed a 2-year contract for monthly security system services on May 7, 2012 with American Alarm, an authorized reseller for ADT. The monthly rate on the contract I signed was $47.99. That amount was to be automatically withdrawn from my bank account. Since the beginning, $55.99/month has been withdrawn from my account.

I have contacted American Alarm by phone five (5) times about this billing error and each time they informed me they would take care of it and get back to me. However, they never return my calls and this issue has not yet been resolved. I also tried contacting ADT, but they told me I have to work directly with American Alarm. I also contacted my bank and they told me I would have to work directly with the merchant. Contacting the Revdex.com is my last resort, so I'm hopeful you can help me.Desired Settlement: I would like the overpayments to be credited to my account and I would like my monthly rate and bank withdrawal corrected to the amount stated in my contract. I would like to receive a signed statement in writing from American Alarm on their company letterhead detailing what changes they will make to resolve this problem, the date when I will be credited, the effective date when the changes will be implemented, and a promise that my monthly rate will be corrected and remain at the amount specified in my contract for the remainder of the contract term.

We have submitted a paperwork request to have Mr. [redacted] account rate changed with ADT. We set up the account with the correct rate with ADT but somehow they had a system clitch. We have asked that they credit back his account as well.

The business owner suggested that, in order to resolve the final step of this complaint, a check would be sent to me as a means to credit me for overcharges that I paid. That was several weeks ago and no check has been received. This appears to be yet one more false promise from this business owner.

Review: The sales mislead the cancel policy.

The system failed numerous times.

The customer service would simply ignore the calls.

American Alarm is an ADT authorized dealer. They installed my alarm system around March 14th. However, the system keeps failing. It beeps at night. I already called them and had them to fix the system. but the system just keeps failing. I would like to cancel the servie since I feel their service is not good enough. They refused the request and insist that they would come and fix the system again. but they didn't show. I had to contact them again and again.

The customer service would just say that they would address the issue to the manager, but the manager didn't call back. Through out the process, the system had errors about 4 times. The whole repairing process made my system unable for more than 3 months. After each repair, the manager would promise the next time system fail they would refund the money. The truth was that they never honor their promise. Because they only need to maintain the service for 6 months and ADT will take over after that, I got a feeling that they were just trying to wait it out.

While signing up, the sales said I am eligible for 2 months free of charge because of I was a burglar victim, but that discount was never applied.

The business owner said they would also give me three months free of charge because they couldn't provide good equipments. They didn't apply that discount either.

I called the customer service for the detail of the refund and discount about a month ago. So far the manager never called me back. Desired Settlement: Allow me to cancel and get refund in full

or get the 5 months free of charge as they promised.

[redacted]'s account was serviced by ADT corporate not by our company. We did install the system in March but we only service the account for the first 90 days. He has been calling ADT corporate and having their techs sent to his home. He has not contacted our office directly in reguards to his system. According to the notes on his ADT account he contacted ADT corporate about system problems in August of this year. Well past our 90 days.

The business promised the 5 months refund. Its been almost 3 weeks and I haven't received the check the business promised. Should I wait a bit longer? I am just not very sure if it is normal.

These service problems were with ADT corporate and not our techs. We will issue out the check the 5 months but the customer is not seeing the differance between ADT corporate and our company.
