American Appliance Services (AAS) was sent to service my refrigerator by Old Republic Home Warranty (ORHP). They initially came and filled the freon and told me the problem was a dirty coil that I should clean. Fridge didn't work even after this. They came back and then told me the dampener and thermostat need to be replaced and the parts were on back order. Two months and many phone calls later, I finally contact ORHP asking them to look into the delay. They were told by AAS that a thermostat was replaced (which was never done) and AAS could not fix the problem. A second contractor was sent by ORHP and fridge was fixed with new dampener within two weeks.
AAS misdiagnosed the problem, gave a false report to ORHP about replacing a part that they never did, and cannot be trusted.

Review: On March 19, 2014 I had a technician come to my home from American Appliance Services, Inc. ([redacted]) to fix my dishwasher. The technician named "[redacted]" said he had to order the part-which was a bad door latch for my [redacted] dishwasher-he said it would take approximately one week, and that he would call me to schedule the repair. We are now at May 25th, 2014 and no one has returned. He had me write a check for $50 in order for him to order the part- and he has not come back. I have called them every week since March 19th to check on the part. At first, I was told by the man who answered the phone that it was on back order. Then 10 weeks into this, I was told that that technician is "no where to be found,he is not answering calls, I don't know where he is". I called [redacted] directly and they told me that parts are not on back order and that they are only a $12 dollar part. I would just like my money back- and for this company to go on record with what has happened.Desired Settlement: I would like my $50 payment returned
