American Asphalt Maintenance

Review: I hired [redacted] of American Asphalt Maintenance Inc. to repair cracks and re-surface our driveway. [redacted] began the work by only partially filling in cracks then basically painted the driveway. He conceded that the job was not done because he ran out of material but asked that I render payment. Against my better judgement I did so, based on the fact that [redacted] did perform some of the work on our driveway. Mr [redacted] the very next day went to my credit union and cashed the check. This all began on 12/12/2013 and since then he has never been back to complete the job I hired him to do. He has made numerouse promises that he would return to comeplete the job over the phone, but has made a total of 5 different excuses as to why he could not come. When last I spoke to Mr [redacted] he was going to come last weekend but he never showed. I called him to find out why, however he is now no longer taking my calls. Meanwhile [redacted] has my money in his pocket and I have a driveway that looks terrible and unfinished.Desired Settlement: I want [redacted] to complete the task I paid for, and the 3 year warranty I was promised. If he cannot complete the job then I want my money back less any provable expenses he paid for materials. I believe my request is more than reasonable.

Review: Failure to fulfill guarantee on contract, poor workmanship, poor prep job. There is a two year guarantee on my signed contract. I have been trying to get him to come repair the work that started to fail in less than two months. I have attempted to contact him by phone over six times. Every time I call he says he is coming and never shows up. The work was done on July 26th 2013 and I first talked to him in September in person while he was doing a job for the neighbor. He said he would come and do the work that Sat. and he never showed up. I would just like a refund so I can get a more reputable company to do the work correctly for me.Desired Settlement: Refund.
