Until the manner in which I was spoken to today, I would have taken my car to American Autobody for future repairs if needed Today, I was advised that the reason for needed service was because of my actions and not the lack of action taken by mechanics AA partners with I have no issue taking responsibility for what I do, but the deficiencies of others should not be placed on the customer in a demeaning way Nor should others that work for AA try to pinpoint where I work in an effort to communicate that pot holes are the reason for issues I had Very disrespectful!

Car kept too long for minor repair.after less than 30 days of getting car. Front bumper coming off.My [redacted] was brought into American auto body on 8/11/15. This was supposed to be a 3day job.I received text messages from an automatic service from the company about updates on my car. The insurance gave them the maximum time to 8/26/15. Which was more than enough time to fix my car.when I called about my car. I received 3 different stories on why my car was not ready. First excuse was, one if their employees mother died.Second one was they have to order more parts. Third one, not enough man power to finish the job. And last one was, the parts that came in didn't fit. Meanwhile using all of my rental expenses up with my insurance. So at this point into September. I have no rental car to drive to work cause we would have to pay out of pocket. When I finally got my car back after labor day. It would not start up. So the had to jump my battery. Then less than 30 days after repair. On 9/30/15. My front bumper is coming off. /////Desired SettlementI am seeking my Deductible of 250 dollars back. Too many excuses on why my repairs won't being done. First excuse:employee mother died,: second excuse, lack of workers to do the job. Third excuse. Need to order more parts.meanwhile my rental car payments being exhausted with my insurance company. And after my vehicle being there from 8/11/15-9/7/15. On 9/30/15 I noticed my front bumper coming off. Which they supposedly fixed./////Business Response This vehicle was towed into our facility Wednesday 8/12/15 the vehicle owners Insurance company wrote and estimate for repair on the same day.. the Vehicle owner authorized repairs Thursday 8/13/15 and parts were ordered we had a 2 week back log for non driveable vehicle's at that time this was explained to the vehicle owner she authorized repairs we estimated based on the vehicle's in line for repairs that we would be able to start repairs near 8/24/15 non driveable vehicles are on a first come first served basis parts arrived on 8/19/15 8/21/15 8/24/15vehicle was pulled into the shop on 8/26/15 and repairs were started we found some additional parts needed for the repair those were approved by the insurance company and the parts were ordered they arrived on Friday 8/28/15 the Insurance company had written a specific parts supplier for the hood it came in damaged it was reordered 2nd hood also came in damaged Friday 8/28/15 from same supplier adjuster called back 9/1/15 got authorization for a new Toyota Hood which arrived 9/2/15 we painted the vehicle on 9/2/15 had it ready for customer pick up on 9/3/15 when owner came to pick up vehicle she did not have the check for payment from the insurance company she had a lienholder on the vehicle so the check had been mailed off to them for endorsement they had not sent it back to her or to us as she had requested we cannot release a vehicle without payment so she contacted the lienholder payment was received by us on 9/8/15 she picked her vehicle up that day as far as the battery being bad I have no idea how old the battery is it was not damaged in the accident if it is the original battery to the vehicle it could be 4 years oldthe bumper falling off it could be a retainer has come loose it could be another impact to the bumper without seeing the bumper I cannot tell what the issue is we guarantee our work and if it is a workmanship issue we will certainly take are of it.The rental Her Insurance Company wrote for a aftermarket hood from a specific supplier that could not or did not deliver the part without damages 9/2/15 we received a Toyota hood that was authorized by her adjuster 9/1/15 it arrived 9/2/15 and the vehicle was completed 9/3/15 she needs to contact her agent and express her concern regarding the rental expense out of her pocket or lack of rental because it would have been out of her pocket without the Insurance companies permission or agreeing to pay the difference between the aftermarket hood and the Toyota hood we can't put it on the car unless she wanted to pay the difference in the parts price if the Insurance Company wrote the aftermarket parts then they should be willing to keep her in her rental until 9/3/15 the check issue with the lienholder and their failure to send it back to her or to us is not the Insurance companies responsibility or ours she may be able to address that with her lienholder I have no idea when she mailed it to them for endorsement or how long the lienholder had it in their possession we told her if she had a lienholder she would have to contact them as to what they would require in order to endorse the check we did have a employee that lost his Mother during this time but he was not working on her car I am sorry if she was inconvenienced we did everything we were supposed to do we gave her and estimated date for repairs to start we contacted the Insurance company as needed for additional parts and for permission to get a Toyota hood I do not see how we caused any of her additional rental expense vehicle started Wednesday 8/26/15 additional parts in 8/28/15 authorization for Toyota hood received Tuesday 9/1/15 arrived 9/2/15 painted 9/2/15 and ready for deliver 9/3/15 repair DAYS 8/26 8/27 8/28 waiting for adjuster approval Monday 9/1 for hood... hood arrives Tuesday 9/2/15 painted vehicle assembled and ready to go Wednesday 9/3/15
