Hi [redacted] ,Below is my answer to American Auto Protection's response of refunding my money.Well if you read my original complaint, I stated I received a call telling me AAP was going to send my money back in two payments over a period of about 6 to 8 weeks. If I recall correctly that phone call was in the third week of January 2018. It has now been eight weeks, March 16th 2018, since that phone call and still no checks have come in the mail. I just received a letter from the BBB showing me AAP’s response saying they would refund me in two payments. No checks have arrived. So, I assumed AAP decided not to contest the credit card company’s decision to not allow the charge. Which is very strange because when the credit card company called AAP on December 11th, the AAP representative said it is their policy to send refund checks instead crediting back on the credit card. I have not received any checks, so to be sure I called my credit card company to see if the charge had been put back on my statement before I wrote this response. The charge was not placed back on my card and the credit company says the 90 day deadline has past for any challenges to occur for this incident. The credit card company has closed the incident. So, yes I have received my refund, but not by the way AAP said it was going to happen. Instead I had to get the credit card company to stop the payment. I am so glad I did because I did not receive any refund by check. But it took too many phone calls, letters and months to bring this to a just end. It is clear this company does not do what they say they will do. Buyer beware. Thank you for your time,***
