We shipped our personal items through discountshipping.us. There has been poor communication regarding our shipment, only providing updates upon request. There are repeated delays and usually zero explanation is provided. Prior to payment the company provided a shipping estimate of 6 weeks, but the shipment finally arrived at 21 weeks after drop-off. I asked for a partial refund but was told it was out of their control. Looking through reviews online I found others who had the same experience, so I doubt that this is repeatedly out of their control. The shipping took approximately 19 weeks. The final two weeks were due to customs, it would have been nice if they would have provided me ANY information about customs prior to shipment to smooth the transition. Approximately half of our shipment is children's clothing which no longer fits them and/or is the wrong season. We have had to buy much new clothing, obviously at our expense. Would not recommend unless you're okay with your stuff arriving 6 months late.

I told him I had just shipped all the rest of my stuff with another company from San Francisco and did have to pay any fees or taxes or anythingThe service I received from the company in San Francisco was far beyond excellentBut as I mentioned in my complaint, this shipment that I am complaining about left from El Paso Texas, where I left the USA fromI couldn't use themMr [redacted] is lyingWhen I told him that I didn't have to pay port fees before he literally said, " ok" and moved onHe never mentioned it againWhen I talked to him from Guatemala he was short with me and very rude! He tries to make it sound like he was consiliatoryHe could care lessAs the company that revived the freight told me that American Baggage had sent the goods wrong and that they only handle business frightI mentioned all this beforeThis reply from Mr [redacted] is just a flat out lie! I was thinking he would reply with something like, well I told himAnd I was thinking that with that kind of a reply what really can I doBut his reply is such an overwhelming lie I am blown awayI don't know what to do or sayAt first I thought I was the victim of a man who made a mistake doing his job, it happens, and I had to pay for it but it wasn't maliciousBut after reading the response I know I was completely taken advantage ofWow what can I do now? This man directly TOOK ADVANTAGE OF ME! Now he is lyingPlease help me! I can not in good conscience let him do this to meI was actually thinking of chalking it up to experience until I just read his response! He lied so much! This is mind blowing! It was $not a couple of hundred bucksBut he is lying! And the lie saying I told him I did not use the other shipping company because of bad service! Where did this come from!
