FYI, we have been in this house since Easter of 1996 and during this period, we only had three flooding problems, ie, 2003, 2006 and the last one, in 2011.  We have not had any flooding problem since then because our Long Branch community leaders asked for the assistance of our County leaders that finally fixed our SEWAGE system.  For your further info, American Bankers' Flood Insurance Renewal Reminder Notice dated 03/29/2017 indicated two Options; Option 1 showed a Premium Option of $3523.00  while Option 2 showed $3521.00. Years before, Nationwide gave us the same Notice too but our options were: Option 1 was $3523 vs Option 2 of $1922.  We chose (2) and it has not changed since this year.  Now it's $3521 from American Bankers! When we were surprised by this new high premium rate by American Bankers. we contacted Nationwide's branch in VA. Their reply was, we did not indicate we still live in S Troy St. and so we asked what we need to do.  They then forwarded to us a Verification of Primary Residence Status for NFIP Policy Rating.  We complied and even sent my Driver's License ID, as also requested.  We also tried American Bankers but no reply until we went to your office for assistance. We are retirees and have fixed incomes thru our SSS pensions.  We have not asked for any free county assistance and would prefer not to as long as we stay in our house.Thank you for your help.
