Good afternoon [redacted] , I spoke to [redacted] in the San Diego office today I apologize we did not reply sooner; the email somehow managed to make it in our spam folder I was not able to email a response through the link provided, so [redacted] suggested I contact you this way American Barbell, LLCwould like to dispute the claim against [redacted] , as his review and claim is completely unjust and inaccurate [redacted] somehow managed to circumvent our system and add a product to his "shopping cart" not available for direct purchase on our website Furthermore, he did so after contacting our sales team directly for pricing, when he saw it was not available for direct purchase Please see the following link which shows how this particular product, "The Gym Bar" is displayed on our website It does not list pricing, have a "purchase" option and requests that customers contact us directly: http://americanbarbell.com/products/american-barbell-gym-barbell I also attached an image of the above link in case you are not able to view the linkAlso attached is the chat transcript record of communication from [redacted] and [redacted] ***, our sales representative [redacted] asks for pricing and acknowledges that particular bar does not show a buy button: " [redacted] :Are you referring to this bar?http://americanbarbell.com/products/american-barbell-gym-barbell Visitor [redacted] :yes- but it doesn't show pricing or any specs-" I have attached the entire chat transcript for record This was shortly before [redacted] managed to somehow add the product to his cart for $ The retail price on this product is $440, but as you will see from the chat transcript we offered him a discount of $375, since he is a returning customer It is also worth noting that [redacted] left a positive review on Americanbarbell.com a couple of weeks prior to this (please see attached doc)Finally, we did not charge [redacted] 's credit card for the transaction in question In an effort to protect our customers and our business, we reserve the right for final review and approval of all web orders prior to processing Once they have been verified for fraud and order accuracy, we then "capture payment"/charge the credit card That did not happen here since we knew right away there was a serious breach in our system for him to have been able to add this product to his internet orderWe are a service-driven company and go above and beyond for each customer we deal with Unfortunately, due to the nature and circumstances of the order in question, we were not able to fulfill it as it was perceived as fraudulentPlease fee free to contact me directly with any further questions or concernsThank you for your time and considerationBest regards, [redacted] [redacted] American Barbell Progressive Avenue, Suite San Diego, CA Direct: [redacted] www.americanbarbell.com
