We purchased a renovated house from Golden Age in August 2014. This was our first house so we were very excited to have a place of our own so close to downtown. As we live in the house longer, we are noticing many corners that were cut. Aesthetically the house is great, but if you look closer you notice baseboards aren't painted and poor dry wall jobs. Our bathroom is a great tile but was not sealed so now the grout is coming loose and needs to be redone. Although the house is old, the house was completely redone by golden age and I would expect these things to be competed. We are now redoing much of the work ourselves.
I would recommend having a great inspector to point these out to you since we did not. If you are willing to work with multiple smaller repairs and some larger ones I would recommend Golden Age since our house was a reasonable price and looks great.
