Review: -In October 2015, [redacted] (owner) from American Beechwood Tree Service provided me with a quote of $200.00 to remove two trees and the stumps from my residential property. I agreed to the price and American Beechwood removed the trees the following day, but left the stumps in place.

-During the subsequent period of time (approx two weeks), I was unable to reach [redacted] on the phone, and he did not return my messages. No payment had been provided to American Beechwood at this point.

-On November 4, 2015, I was able to connect with [redacted] from American Beechwood. [redacted] explained that they could not get the stump grinder through the gate of my chain link fence to the backyard. Although they should have called me upon discovering this, [redacted]'s explanation (on behalf of [redacted]) seemed reasonable. I was asked to open up the chain linking, which would create a large enough opening to allow them to get the stump grinder into our backyard. I agreed, saying I would do that over the upcoming weekend. [redacted] said I would receive a call back from [redacted] to arrange for payment of the $200.00. No call came. Rather later that evening I called back and connected with [redacted] again. He told me they would be over to remove the stumps in the following week, and to leave payment in my mailbox which [redacted] would pick up that evening. I remitted payment in good faith. My check was promptly cashed.

-Since that time in November, American Beechwood has not completed the job for which I paid them. The stumps remain in place. I have left many voicemail messages for [redacted]. He returned one of my calls in December and told me they would be by in the next week to complete the job. That never happened. Throughout the month of December 2015, I have continued to leave messages for [redacted] at each of the 3 phone numbers listed. He has ignored them. American Beechwood has simply not completed the job for which I hired them, and in addition has ignored all my attempts to discuss the outcome. This is unacceptable.Desired Settlement: American Beechwood Tree Service has the responsibility to do the following:

1. First and foremost, complete the job for which they were hired, and for which they were paid in full.

2. Contact me with an explanation of when they intend to complete this job.
