Review: I bought a dog yesterday from them and they said he was healthy just a laid back puppy. I took him to the vet this morning to find out he is extremely sick and was in respitory distress. I called them and told them to cover the vet bill since they sold me w sick dog and they took my dog back and refused to give him back!Desired Settlement: We just want our dog back and to take him to our vet for proper treatment.

Review: I purchased two puppies from Puppies and Kittens American Breeders, one on 12/**/13 and another on 12/**/13. According to their records the puppy purchased on 12/**/13 ([redacted]) had its vaccinations. Additionally we brought the puppy to our own vet and followed up with additional vaccinations. On 12/**/13 we purchased ([redacted]) who immediately displayed signs of kennel cough. Soon after ([redacted]) began similar symptoms. [redacted]'s kennel cough developed into pneumonia resulting in hospitalization, extensive treatment and vet bills exceeding $1,300. It is my contention that [redacted] infected [redacted] and the owner [redacted] contends I only have 14 days under the pet lemon law and he is not responsible for vet bills pertaining to [redacted]. I spoke with him several times to no avail. In addition [redacted] has been arrested and numerous animals seized for similar sales of contagious animals.

Review: On 12-**-13, I gave American Breeders' Wappingers Falls pet store a $500 down payment for a puppy. On 12-**-13 I gave American Breeders an additional $1,068 and took home my puppy. However, on 12-**-13, I returned the puppy because he was sick. When the owner, [redacted], saw the puppy he immediately stated "we have to keep him for a few days to make sure he don't crash" [die}. On 12-**-13, I visited the pet store in order to check on the puppy. He was still sick, unable to eat anything except baby food. On 12-**-13, I again went back to the pet store only to find out that American Breeders sold the puppy that I already paid for to someone else. I asked for a refund and they refused to refund my money. Instead, they want to give me any puppy just to get rid of me. After researching American Breeders online, I learned that the owner, [redacted], has been arrested for animal cruelty and for selling sick animals. This practice is very unethical and I would like a refund.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund for $1,568.

In response to your letter received today, [redacted] purchased a puppy from our store 12/**/13. She then returned it on 12/**/13 stating that it was too small and she was afraid of it and asked to exchange it for a bigger dog.

On 02/**/13 she picked up a larger puppy of her choice. Contract attached.
