American Business Locator

This company made a $450 transaction on the company from the company I am investigating for without our knowledge.Today, 7-26-2013, The [redacted] of Brighton Resources, [redacted] noticed and stopped a $450" transaction from "American Business Locator".This is a company that we have no dealings with, and were not aware that this transaction would be made. We are unaware of their services, have no clue what they do. After looking at their website they do some sort of "Directory listing" We have no use for a service like this and would never have sought out this type of service.We called their number from the web page and left emails and have received no response from the company. And would like an explanation of what services we owe $450 for before ANY transaction is made.Business' Initial Response Hello [redacted],The initial transaction had been authorized by [redacted] who approved the invoice for the services rendered (Services were for 1 year of advertising with our Ultimate Business Booster Package which was listed at $449.95/yr). Within a 2 day period after we had collected payment from [redacted] it was pointed out to us through our processor that a Chargeback had occured. [redacted]Upon learning this, we immediately reached out to [redacted] who we had as a secondary contact to attempt to settle the account amicably (ideally we would've liked to have had the opportunity to refund the company in case of a misunderstanding to avoid a chargeback) however we were informed that he was not available. They then contacted us towards the end of the business day and left a voicemail message threatening to report us to the Revdex.com therefore we made repeated attempts to contact someone to have this resolved. On July 29th,2013 we received a call from [redacted] who was inquiring about the transaction. Upon explaining to him what the services were for and that they had been authorized by [redacted] he then informed us that [redacted] was not authorized to take such a decision and that she was no longer with the company. During this conversation, we offered to wave the yearly fee even after services had already been rendered, and commited to sending them a $0 balance invoice with a promise that we would not attempt any collection measures in any way, shape, or form. It is dissapointing to us that unfortunately we were not able to initially resolve this matter without 3rd parties being involved, but we understand that there was a miscommunication and we would like to put this complaint behind us. We are commited to doing ethical, honest business with small business owners seeking growth through their online presence and we do not want our reputation as an entity to be tarnished which is also the main reason why we were seeking to resolve the matter immediately after we were made aware of stopped payment.If [redacted] still have doubts as to the kind of services we provide or the storage of sensitive data, they can without a doubt reach out to us as we are HIPPA compliant & seek to resolve matters in a non-threatening way. I would like to personally thank you as the company's [redacted] for taking the time to read this and to inform us of the complaint in a professional manner as I was not aware it had been filed as I believed it had already been resolved.
