Since receiving the Revdex.com complaint, I have made multiple attempts by phone and text to discuss the complaint without success.
American Cleaning Disaster Response Team (DRT) responded to *** *** *** *** on 6/23/for a fire/water damage.
The initial response was for water
damage, due to a fire. DRT extracted water in the basement and started the process.
During the water mitigation process, the ***’s contracted with DRT to complete the fire mitigation as well. John M***, the project manager, discussed the ***’s options on how to process their personal contents. ***’s stated that they would process (save / throw) the contents themselves. If contents where salvageable DRT would clean and deodorize them.
DRT had limited contact with contents and reduced control on the timeframe because we were waiting for the contents to be process and gain access to the structure. The delay was approximately weeks due to the customer processing their own items. With limited exposure to the contents portion of this claim, we wouldn’t have very many pictures. After the Revdex.com claim was filed, a contents adjuster has been assigned and been onsite to assist with coverage
I am unaware of additional work that had to be done or delays that our company caused.
When billing for this project, our invoice does not include any contents processing or evaluating charges The insurance adjuster is working with the ***’s for contents reimbursement and hasn’t stated anything about our delays causing additional costs
The desired Settlement portion.
To my knowledge:
The customer is not out of pocket any additional funds due to timeline on the project and the insurance company is reimbursing them for all contents and rent for displacement

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:
The delay was not due to our inventory time in the house, but due to the lack of experience on the job and only spending a couple hours a week in man hours on the job site.
The Tuesday following the fire (June 28th), American Cleaning was able to facilitate the removal of the garage area of the house so we were not holding up the job site progress. In addition, the lack of experience was evident as we were having to contact contractors to complete the work or get supplies for the job site. American Cleaning would block off the house or other areas and ozone with 1 unit for 5 days at a time instead of only 24 hours further damaging the items that survived the fire.
To further illustrate the lack of experience and delays, American Cleaning was to supply the bid to rebuild the house back to pre-fire state but instead sent an email approx. 2 months later stating they didn't know what they were doing.Sincerely,[redacted]

Since the first response, I have made  2 more attempts to resolve the questions and concerns of [redacted].  I have also notified the insurance adjuster to facilitate a solution.  To date, nothing.

The [redacted]’s requested that we get the garage torn out before the fourth of July as the city has a large fireworks display and they were concerned about all the onlookers.  We called our demolition contractor and facilitated the garage removed on very short notice.  Our contractor had large equipment and 2 dump trucks running to complete the project in a timely manner.  The garage was a total loss, with very few items in the garage being salvageable.  Agreed – No hold up on the garage.
The same date the garage was torn down, American cleaning walked around the house with [redacted].  All the damaged contents of the [redacted]’s were still in place.  [redacted] and Ben wanted to work on sorting and identifying their contents.  An agreement was made that they would control the contents processing.  American Cleaning did very little work as the house had the contents in place.

We did use the [redacted]’s family member, who is an electrican, for the temporary power / electrical set up.  He was an electrician that they trusted and it made sense.  With the project an hour from Boise, it was a wise to select a local contractor.   I am not aware of other contractors that they contacted.

Deodorizing - Contents and structure deodorization is a multiple step process.     Ozone is very harmful and has many side effects if inhaled.

Contents
After the contents were determined by the [redacted]’s to be salvage, they were moved into one of three temporary onsite storage containers.  The contents were cleaned, ozoned and moved from a “dirty storage container” to a “clean storage container”.   If the contents still contained odor, they would be put through part or all of process again.   American Cleaning did process some of the contents multiple times.  We are unaware of any damage we may have caused or to what items.   Per the adjuster for the claim, the insurance has assigned a specific contents adjuster to the claim for reimbursement on the contents.
Structure
The house had three areas that had been affected by smoke. The attic, main level and garden basement, which all needed restoration and ozone.   After the contents were removed, the demolition, cleaning, sanding, sealing and deodorization process was started.  We utilized subcontractors to assist with certain tasks associated with the project.    We did not block off areas while ozoning.  We requested that no one enter the structure.  Danger signs were posted on doors, DO NOT ENTER OZONE IN PROGRESS    Side note – During the deodorizing process, one of the GFCI outlets in the temporary power supply broke.  What we thought to be progress for a couple of days, turned out to be wasted time.  We are unsure of when the outlet broke but progress wasn’t made.

American Cleaning did not participate in the reconstruction portion of the project.   Our first day on the Project was 6/23/2016 and last day was 8/23/2016.  John M[redacted] indicated that the project was to be turned over to the reconstruction contractor, around 2 weeks, before we turned the project over.  With American Cleaning Service not working on the project for 2 months and John indicating a reconstruction company had been selected, it appears that a different choice was made prior to any email that was sent.

I am not aware of any out of pocket expense that the [redacted]’s have incurred and the insurance company is not willing to reimburse.  Our charges are fair and inline with industry rates.
