American comfort does not have good customer service values. I've been calling their business just to get some information about getting some parts for my portable air conditioner; every time I call, I have to leave a message and the company does not return the phone call back. I've been calling since last year. So very bad business etiquette.
I'm not out to throw anyone under the bus here, but my product was purchased through "Oreck" . I assumed they were a reputable company/dealer.. all signs pointed to yes..
I'd just appreciate some accountability. We purchased an "acw500ch " it's a standalone portable air conditioner.. 13000 btu . The product was great. I used it for 2 years (seasonally) let's say 9 months total use and I'm being very generous. . This year,out of storage.... my unit no longer makes cold air. A/C Repair guy says rusted condenser. No parts avail. Large amounts of "American comfort " units are auctioned off for pennies on the dollar this year at a local auction... "American comfort worldwide " removes it's presence online... I've attempted to contact the company and they cease to exist. All Web pages associated are redirected.. it's maddening. I'd love an explanation from Oreck or any companies affiliated, including an authorized repair entity. Shady operations. .
