Excuse me, what does my father paying for this room on HIS house have ANYTHING to do with the complaint? That a customer received what you perceived as a ‘free room addition’ is no reason for horrible customer service The fact is, you were PAID to do a job and regardless of where the money comes from, you should take pride in the job you do In your response to the customer’s legitimate complaint, the only thing with which you respond is a personal attack In educated terms, this is an ad hominem against a client of yours and quite a despicable way to handle your professional business It makes you, as the business owner, look quite shady and untrustworthy
Since you want to get personal, the reason my husband does not have a full time job is because he is a stay at home dad who is trying to start up his personal business After nearly dying from cancer last year, my husband wanted to stay home with his kids while he could, and I fully support this This is not up for debate and it is quite disgusting that you would use a public forum to bring to light something so deeply sensitive and personal Shame on you for that; I expected better of you But how could I expect that from a man who told my husband that we don’t have to stay at home for your guys to show up, and that we should leave our doors open for them, and when he told you I would not be happy with that, you told him that I should be more trusting That was a really big red flag for me I shouldn’t have to leave my doors open when your crew should be on time when you say they’re going to be there, not hours later, not days later It took FAR too long for this project to be completed, especially on the promise that you would not start another job until ours was finishedThe week gaps in work that happened several times told me otherwise And please don’t argue with me about it because I have documented proof of exactly HOW long it took between each jobs and I will be GLAD to bring it to the public’s attention THIS is the issue that really turned things bad for us…lack of communication, days going by with no one showing up to do the job you were paid to do REGARDLESS OF WHO WAS PAYING YOU TO DO IT!!! Very, very bad management of your crew You don’t show up when you say you will unless you’re there to collect a payment, then you’re Johnny on the Spot That looks VERY bad on you I expect that when you say you’re going to be there at 9, that you will be there at 9, not 1000, not 1130, and that if you ARE going to be late, you make CONTACT and let us know but we were NEVER given that kind of courtesy
You are lying, Jeff, when you say you were not contacted after collecting the final payment because you were notified by email that your guy still had not come out and taken care of the floor The broken window was fixed but the trim that your guys tore up wasn’t fixed because it couldn’t be (another huge red flag) The gentleman who came out to fix those things said that YOU know that HE wasn’t the one who put in the flooring and therefore he could not fix it The fact is the flooring still has a hole in it and your floor guy never showed up, and that issue was not taken care of and you know it, nor did you ever bother to follow up to make sure everything was taken care of properly As a business owner who KNEW you had customers who was not happy with your service, you should have followed up with us You are only upset because you got a bad review and deservedly so There was no ‘final inspection’ to be passed because no inspectors have come out yet but we will get them out here If you had only followed up with one little thing, it would never have gotten to this point Your crew is nice but why did they have to go back and redo several things (crawl space, gutters, etc) when it should have been done right the first time? Did you get the floor plan wrong or did they? The competence of this company is called into serious questioning when you have issues like this continually happening I seriously doubt you will add that to your book but if you do write it, have someone else do it because you are not a good writer

There's very little I can say nice about my experience with this company or the man who runs it ... they're less then honest, and not at all dependable..
I hired them to build and additional room on the side of my house.. After 3 months, most of the time was just spent waiting for someone, anyone to do any kind of work for the job we paid them to do, but most of the time no one ever showed up.. by the time it was done I was left with a long to do list of things that needed fixed because the workers broke and damaged alot of preexisting areas around the new room (including the inside trim, and breaking windows)
Alot of things were done improperly and then covered to try and hide it from me, including an area where they never put the floor down right, left a big hole where floor boards should go, and they just covered it under the carpet so now there's a big soft spot where the floor should be ... I've addressed these issues with the owner Jeff, but all I've gotten is months worth of empty promises of them making it right, and no one ever has
