Thank you for helping me with my complaintOn my cellphone voice mail today, there was a message from a man who claimed to be from American Culinary Corporation. He did not leave his name. He explained that I should check my credit card statements because American Culinary Corporation
charged NOT ONE PENNY (his emphasis, not mine) on my credit card. He accused me of filing a fictitious claim (asking for a credit) and (questioningly) mentioned the emails I sent inquiring about the order. (Actually, I sent 11.) As it turns out, he was correct about the "not one penny". I checked my credit card statements going back to March and there is no entry showing American Culinary Corporation. They do not owe me moneyHowever, when I placed that order, I received an email confirmation. Any reasonable person who receives an order confirmation showing payment approved would assume payment was processed. In an abundance of fairness, I should have verified that my credit card statement was actually charged before filing this complaint, but to accuse me of fraud is a big stretch. To my knowledge, fraud is an intentional act. This was not an intentional act of anything other than inquiring about the status of an unfilled internet orderI was also notified that after checking my statement, I needed to contact the Revdex.com within hours to "reverse the complaint" or American Culinary Corporation would "pursue actions"The old coach was right, the best defense is a good offenseIsn't it curious that an order confirmation verifying payment approval was emailed to me? Isn't it curious that the company didn't answer any of my emails? This matter could have been easily resolved months ago if American Culinary Corporation had just advised me that they could not fulfill the orderinstead of leaving me hangingThank you again, Ms***, for your help.
