American Discount Tires

This is my version of what happened...I am the manager here at adt.Lady comes in for 2 tires.[redacted] ... We jack car up amd grab tools to remove tire..impact gun sockets and a hammer just in case( car is really rusty ford taurus wheels corrode stuck on those)so my guy removes lglug nuts with impact...

and trys to pull wheel and tire off..its stucl..so he gives it a nice kick and tireand wheel come off..I look at the rear drums and nitice they were rusted fallin apart I told her tahe should get new brakes I noticed she had recemtly done front brakes... She says ok ..she just need tires..so my employ puts new used tires on and she gos to leave ..as she backs up I ask her if ahe heres the tiny squealing come from back she says yes I tell her thats her brakes..they need replaced shes says ok and leaves...happy at this time...she calls us later that day and proceeded to say its are fault her brakes make noise she starts cussin at us(me and the owner who also was here for the whole tire install phone calls and when she came back). She said on the phone we beat on the tire wit a hammer to get it off.. But also says she seen me beat on it... When she drive in she changed her story and says she seen my employee hit it wit hammer... I told her no.. We did grab hammer but didnt need it....he kicked the rim/tire loose... She argued/cussed us out blamed us for what..I dont even know..brake shoes are in brake drums and anything we do dont effect either.. Weve never had an issue like this.. She was the hardest customer weve ever dealt with and it all boils down to she wanted work done for free... She had no issues with our tires... My names [redacted] ive never had a complaint about any of my work..the owner [redacted] has never had an issue like this.. We do not intend to pay for her brakes.. She has lied and changed her story multiple times.

[redacted]i am becoming aware that nothing is going to be solved with this complaint, but I’d like to say that the person who responded to the letter from business is lying. He had only been working there three weeks, so don’t think he can say he was the manager. The owner was never out in the shop when work was done. I never said I seen the workers hit tires with hammer, I felt them kick tires but they were stuck on there like I said, then they wouldn’t come off from being old and I seen him go and get hammer. My car was never making any noise coming in, only leaving. And the worker said I’m only telling you this because I see your front end work is new( I had just had that done that day, the company just didn’t have 2 used tires and I needed 2 for back). But he goes your drums are cracked and you’ll be hearing metal on metal. I was shocked not happy like what he reported. I go how long do you think that will last seeing I just had front done and it wasn’t cheap. Go goes oh at least till after Christmas. I was like oh ok. Hadn’t pulled out yet. So had my four yr old with me and he’s making noise so I go to back out and don’t notice til he gushed and got out the door. The car in back sounded like you were shaking a jar of coins. I stopped and he goes see what I mean. I’m like I didn’t come in like this, I just left another shop and there’s no way. He said they could fix there and I asked if they do the work, he said no but I won’t charge much and can do them here in lot. Not professional, plus why would I when they damaged them. I went right then to auto store and got drums and shoes. Got right in that day again to first shop and was told drums were beatin on it looked like and the hardware in drums were loose that’s what was causing the metal noise. The drums were old but didn’t need changed then. From hitting drums so much to get tires off cracked them more and like other shop said the hardware was loose. Not wanting anything for free except the cost of parts. They were $108.00, the work was an additional $140, but not asking for that. I only cursed when was told they never did anything and to prove it. I’ve never changed my story. I feel it’s only fair the company own up to a worker causing damage to a vehicle, that wasn’t there before. The said worker was very rude and even threatened to beat me up and I’m a woman. Of course I wasn’t a good costumer when I had a problem with their service. Over 2 months had $1000.00 done to car for daughter, another 108.00 if needed would of been ok, but it didn’t and I shouldn’t need to pay for it. This business is lying and so is worker. Their not gonna admit they were wrong, but I hope they can be held liable. Thank you.
