We have investigated the complaint made by [redacted] and found the following:
[redacted] did file an application for a 1 Bedroom Apt. (NOT 2 Bedrooms as stated in her...

complaint) on 7/**/2014. She indicated that the Feds will be paying her rent. She was asked to provide verifiable income documentation to verify income eligibility (her ability to pay rent) and she refused, stating that there is no reason for us to ask for any income documents, since the Feds will be paying her rent. She could not provide any documents to this effect. Instead, she provided a copy of a Job Notification letter from Works Intelligent Service with a telephone # ###-###-####, stating this is where she works. This telephone # leads to no answer.
We do have her application on file in our office. Her application is not lost as she indicated in her complaint. Her application remains incomplete.
We have no record of $1,700.00 collected from her as she indicated in her complaint.
It is our company policy not to collect any monies until we have a fully completed application with verifiable documents attached, and until the application has been approved by the Landlord / Management Agent.

I went to American Dream Realty, [redacted] and I gave them $1700 toward getting a two Bedroom apartment. I followed up with them 3 days after I meet with a representative to find out what the status was and they said they do not have my paperwork. I went down to the office to ask with a copy of the paperwork and told them that I would like to be refunded my money. Now they are saying I can not get my money back. Therefore, I am requesting that you investigate this business and please help me get this my money back!Thanks for your time and I hope to hear from someone soon!
