American Driving Academy

Well I hadn't taken a driving test in a really long time. I scheduled an apt at the DMV because that was the last place I had taken it. But currently they do not do driving test there anymore, and due to COVID you have to wait months once you get your apt. So I drove to the Driving Academy location waited 20 minutes until someone arrived. The older lady schedule me an apt and I left. I showed up to my apt and the older man told me your 15 minutes late and I didn't have my registration on me. Because the woman who scheduled me failed to inform me. I asked if I could take the test and then fax them or bring in my registration. He said no you have to call the number and schedule an apt. So I did and the young gal I spoke to on the phone did give me all of the information I needed. I missed my apt. So I called back to reschedule and was told I was put on a do not schedule list. I tried calling other places and googling to see if there is anywhere else in Pueblo to take the test there is not. So I called and spoke to the manager. She said that no I can't be rescheduled because every apt we miss they miss out on money. I tried to explain to her that I showed up to the first apt but they failed to inform me of the information I needed. She said that everyone here has worked here a long time and that they know better then that. I told her no they didn't tell me. But I think its unfair I should've at least gotten a warning. I work at a doctors office and we see our patients even though some miss many apt's, and we still see them. But I guess your time and profession is far too expensive and important then people's health concerns. We are in it to help people. Especially during COVID. Not cause more stress. But thank you, I told the manager appreciate you. Not a professional business as far as I see.

Review: I established business with American Driving Academy for the purpose of obtaining driving lessons service. On the first one hour appointment on 9/28/13, full payment in the amount of $229.00 was provided. The reason for my complaint is because I scheduled two separate driving appointments (3/17/14 & 4/26/14) and the instructor was a no show. Both of these appointments were scheduled with 2-3 weeks of advance notice. On both no show appointments, I had to contact the business to determine if the instructor would be coming as scheduled. The business never attempted to contact me to give notice that the instructor would not be showing up. On 4/26/14, I spoke to Mr. [redacted], instructor/owner, and informed him that I no longer wanted to continue with their services. I requested that a full refund be given. Mr. [redacted] responded that a full refund would not be given since I had made some cancellations without proper notice. However, upon establishing services, Mr. [redacted] nor American Driving Academy provided a cancellation policy for me (the customer) to be aware of. The cancellations were made due to my son being ill. I have contacted Mr. [redacted] via text message on 5/20/14 to remind him of my refund and it is now June 4, 2014 and I have not received full nor partial refund.Desired Settlement: I would like to resolve this matter by receiving a full refund for the uncompleted services provided by American Driving Academy.
