Contacted member to discuss situation and resolve matter

This is the response I recieved from *** *** (Card Services Manager) and *** ***, our Regional AVP of retail operations:"On 12/21/the member informed us that charges from Starbucks dating back to May were not authorized by her. At this time her debit card was blocked.
We contacted Starbucks in an attempt to trace back the gift cards that were purchased and/or reloaded using our member’s debit card, but unfortunately, Starbucks was unable to trace anything with just the given debit card number At that point, we followed our disclosed policy and Visa regulated standards and refunded charges dating back days from her notifying us. This equated to $of transactions. In response to our fraud parameters we have in place; Starbucks is not considered a high risk merchant and the low dollar amounts of $or $do not generate an alert of fraudulent activity. Our fraud monitoring systems are built to monitor for high dollar amounts, highly unusual activity and/or high risk merchants. We rely on our members to review their accounts and report unauthorized activity to us as a joint effort to protect their accounts against fraudulent activity. Furthermore, the changes to our online banking system were completed in October 2015. A full year prior to the member alerting us she could not access her account The Credit Union does send e-mails to alert members their electronic statements are available for viewing We confirmed statement e-mail notifications were sent to this member " I hope this is satisfactoryPlease contact us with any further questions. I wanted to touch base regarding this complaint (attached). I tried to respond using the online system and did not appear to have an option to do so any longer.

This is a very, very long story that actually dates back to 2013. To sum it...

up as quickly as possible:

* He opened a car loan with us and was required to have full coverage insurance on his vehicle.
* He had a lapse of insurance, and we had to purchase a policy to protect our interests. He was not happy.
* We did everything we could to work with him, he outright refused to pay for the insurance as he was contractually obligated and eventually totaled his car leaving just the balance of the insurance to be paid.
* Fast forward a few years and I assume he needed his credit to make a purchase. We settled the debt and deleted the item from his credit report on 12/17/2015 as was his desired resolution in the complaint he filed with you.

I believe this should be resolved. If you need anything else, please let me know. I have plenty of documentation to prove we are in the right dating back 2-3 years, including call recording if needed.

Member visited branch and her safe deposit key would not work. She notified the branch she needed to get contents out that day. The...

branch called to have the box drilled. The vendor did come the same day and drilled the box. We did not charge the member a drill fee. Due to the inconvenience to the member, we refunded her box rental fee for 2015 and gave her a new box at no charge for 2016.

We received a letter from the customer over a month ago and sent a response. Under terms of the loan, she is required to have insurance. Because we were not provided poof, we are required to increase her payments to include insurance.
