Unfair business practices when trying to terminate service Failure to return calls and provide forms in timely manner After a failure of a temperature sensor alarm system component provided by American Electronics,we call them in [redacted] The technician blamed the problem on us getting a new cable modem from Cox, our phone service provider stating that the phone wasn't hooked up properly I triggered the alarm and the alarm called the monitoring service which then called me as expected When speaking with the technician again, he again tried to blame me so I informed him that we would not be renewing our service agreement when it expires in [redacted] In [redacted] , I received a past due statement, so I called AEI on [redacted] and again informed them that I considered my account closed They said I can't close my account by not paying but that I had to request closure in writing I requested a form for closing my account and was told they would have
