Review: In early January I paid a $299 fee to start a home buying process with this company. In March I was approved but was told by the company that the investors were not doing what they were supposed to therefore were unable to process the loan. I spoke with a rep and was told that our refund of $299 was submitted and we would have it in a week. This was on March 7th, Since then we have been unable to get a hold of the company to get any refund information. I emailed the loan officer and was told she no longer handles my files and would have to contact customer service. I called [redacted] on 3-21-13 and received a [redacted] voicemail service. I have no idea how to get a hold of this company to get my refund. I paid $299 for a service that was not rendered and am now having trouble getting that money backDesired Settlement: I just want my $299 refunded

Review: A nonprofit organization to help people remain-in and obtain homes/mortgages is failing to return the deposits of those they were unable to help and those that choose to abandon the program. My husband and I are among them in waiting for a refund in the amount of $2,300.

We dealt with the CEO, [redacted], directly the last few months of our "relationship"with AEF. He stated, in print, that we would be refunded and that he had requested the refund. He has since stopped responding to all our current attempts to communicate with him (phone, text, email). I felt the issue may warrant further investigation so others do not go through this and perhaps some of us may have the issue resolved.Desired Settlement: We want an expedition refund of our full $2,300.
