Review: I received a credit card offer with a 0% balance transfer offer.I was approved for the card and received three different mailings from the company but none had information on how to transfer a balance.With every other credit card company, I've received checks to transfer a balance and that is what I expected to receive from American Express, especially since none of the other mailings addressed how to transfer a balance.When I didn't receive information, I created an account online for the card and looked on their website. There was no search function on it and I couldn't find any information on how to transfer a balance. The closest thing was a ""Check Balance Transfer Status" buried in the profile area. When clicked on, the message reads "No record of a balance transfer was found for the selected account. If you applied for a balance transfer please call 1-800-952-7562." Again, no instructions.I sought clarification by using the chat function on the website and was told that my offer expired after 30 days, which was 3 days ago, and that no accommodation could be made.I think that not giving any direction on how to make a balance transfer or even giving direction to call to make a transfer is deceptive and misleading.Desired Settlement: American Express should tell people how up front to make a balance transfer.I would also like the 0% balance transfer option honored.
