I turned my Camper into American Family RV months ago to Have my camper nose repaired b/c the clear coat had completely faded, and to have my camper floor fixed because it was soggy in areas They told me that we had a bad seal, so our warranty would NOT cover it because it doesn't cover any water damage OR "acts of God." This in turn also caused my insurance to NOT cover the damage, which was $12,($11,in labor) After months, I picked up my camper (Dec 16) and started to repair the floor myself I've since found out that I do NOT have a bad seal b/c after hours of constant rain...I have no water leaking in my camper So, what caused the water damage to my floor American Family RV "assumed" that it was a faulty seal, even though I paid them to find out what was causing the damage Bottom line: American Family RV ONLY cares about the sale, not its customers They knowingly sold us a camper that had known issues w/ the clear coat on the nose of the camper Once I brought it to their attention, American Family RV did NOTHING to help us get this fixed They should have told us "in the beginning" to look out for this issue, but they ONLY cared about the sale! ***I had a meeting w/ the owner in Oct and he assured us he would do everything in his power to get this fixed, but we NEVER heard back from him The service manager strung us along for months, which caused the floor to get MUCH worse At one point, he told my wife and I that the camper was actually being sent to Keystone to get fixed American Family RV makes "assumptions" that directly affect whether or not your insurance will cover damage American Family RV assumed that my camper had a bad seal without doing REAL testThis is "THE" very reason why my insurance company refused to cover the damage to the floor The owner for American Family RV does NOT keep his customers informed or return e-mails/calls In any business, when it comes to servicing customers...making decisions based off an assumption is 100% wrong I'm still left wondering HOW American Family RV made the decision/assumption that a bad seal caused the water damage?

I did not purchase my trailer from American Family, but am now wishing maybe I hadI had some extended warranty work that needed to be done and in a rather quick mannerI had called where I purchased the trailer from and was told it would be a month before they could even look at it to determine if the diagnosis I already had was correctI looked for another Keystone certified center and found American Family RVI have to say it has been a very positive experience from the beginning to the endThey were very quick to tell me to bring it in and they would determine the issue within in two days they were on the phone with the extended warranty people had the approval and were ordering the parts along with work that would be paid for out of my pocketWithin a three week period it is completed and ready for me to pick up and in time to make my grandsons birthday trip happen

I turned my 2012 Camper into American Family RV 8 months ago to 1. Have my camper nose repaired b/c the clear coat had completely faded, and 2. to have my camper floor fixed because it was soggy in areas. They told me that we had a bad seal, so our warranty would NOT cover it because it doesn't cover any water damage OR "acts of God." This in turn also caused my insurance to NOT cover the damage, which was $12,000 ($11,000 in labor).

After 8 months, I picked up my camper (31 Dec 16) and started to repair the floor myself. I've since found out that I do NOT have a bad seal b/c after 36 hours of constant rain...I have no water leaking in my camper. So, what caused the water damage to my floor. American Family RV "assumed" that it was a faulty seal, even though I paid them to find out what was causing the damage.

Bottom line: American Family RV ONLY cares about the sale, not its customers. They knowingly sold us a camper that had known issues w/ the clear coat on the nose of the camper. Once I brought it to their attention, American Family RV did NOTHING to help us get this fixed. They should have told us "in the beginning" to look out for this issue, but they ONLY cared about the sale! [redacted]I had a meeting w/ the owner in Oct 16 and he assured us he would do everything in his power to get this fixed, but we NEVER heard back from him.

The service manager strung us along for 8 months, which caused the floor to get MUCH worse. At one point, he told my wife and I that the camper was actually being sent to Keystone to get fixed.

American Family RV makes "assumptions" that directly affect whether or not your insurance will cover damage. American Family RV assumed that my camper had a bad seal without doing REAL test. This is "THE" very reason why my insurance company refused to cover the damage to the floor.

The owner for American Family RV does NOT keep his customers informed or return e-mails/calls.

In any business, when it comes to servicing customers...making decisions based off an assumption is 100% wrong.

I'm still left wondering HOW American Family RV made the decision/assumption that a bad seal caused the water damage?

We are very pleased ,with the experience we had with purchasing our new Fifth Wheel through American Family RV . The staff was friendly and very helpful, with making sure that our purchase was a pleasant experience.
