I had the worst experience with this mortgage company everyone and I mean everyone is unprofessional no one ever returns your callsIf you are looking to never close on your home then these are the people for youMy loan officer switched companies in the middle of my loan process no one informed me I started receiving emailed from someone else who claimed to be my new loan officerConstantly changing my closing date they lost every paper possible even given to themI never closed on my home after 6months of waiting to close regular sale not to mention!

I would CAUTION new home buyers from using this company to purchase their FIRST home. This was an ordeal I will never forget. We were able to close on our property due to other parties (attorneys, real estate agent, and third party creditors) involved in the closing process. Our representative from American Fidelity Mortgage was a nightmare. I cannot speak for every employee of American Fidelity Mortgage Services in [redacted], IL but I can speak for our senior loan officer at this office.
Buying a home is a scary process. The “Right” Loan officers and realtors involved in this process can ease a buyer’s worries by providing them with informed answers, definitions and documentation regarding terms or paperwork they may not be familiar with. The Senior Loan Officer representing my family was slow to respond with answers to our questions of amounts due at closing or even the date of closing. We did not have a closing date until ONE day before. We did not have a full closing amount due until ONE day before closing date. There were missed phone calls. Unanswered text messages. Unanswered voicemails. There was not proper correspondence between American Fidelity Mortgage Services and us (the buyers).
If we had not invested so much time and energy into the property being purchased, we would have pulled out of the contract solely based on our experience with American Fidelity Mortgage Services in [redacted] IL.
