I have made three phone calls and filled out their on line information packet for refinance information in the course of weeks and have never heard back from them Dave Timmerman came highly recommended by some coworkers and apparently he does not want my business, for what ever reason, likely that I filed bankruptcy four years ago He could at least call me back and let me know he is not interested Be warned anyone thinking about filing bankruptcy as you will be shunned by companies like American Financial Lending, I have never missed a mortgage payment or been late, but that is all useless information because I'm stamped with the big B now!

We have worked with American Financial in the past for refinancing of existing mortgages and obtaining new mortgages. They have always been very competitive with the rates they offer. They also offer zero out of pocket mortgages at a slightly higher interest rate that we usually like to obtain when refinancing. My interactions with the staff were very professional. Also, they answer emails and phone calls in a prompt manner. The escrow and title company that they recommended and we worked with to finalize the loan was also top notch. Even during these difficult times to get mortgages refinanced, it only took around 30 days from the day we applied until escrow closed. I would strongly recommend this company and will definitely use them again if the need arises.
