We had a very scary house fire that started in the chimney flue and spread to the entire attic at 1:00 a.m. The insulation, smoke and water damage was absolutely horrible. We selected American Fire Recovery to do the clean up. There were piles of insulation/water/smoke dust all over everything. Ray and his crew came in as soon as they were allowed by the inspectors and professionally removed, cleaned and stored our belongings for 16 months because our home had to be gutted and rebuilt. When the whole process was over they delivered everything back and put it where it had been before. We were amazed how clean and perfect everything came back. We don't know how they did it, but they did! On a personal note, Ray and his crew were very compassionate and encouraging to us until we were able to get back in our home. If we needed something, we could call them up and they would find the box. We highly recommend American Fire Recovery to anyone that needs this service. I hired American Fire Recovery. It was the worst decision I ever made. [redacted] the owner was at my house at 8:00 am the next day after our Saturday fire. He is a very pleasant person until you start to question his actions. He won't return your phone calls. He really likes to overcharge your insurance company for unnecessary work. He tells you to just be quiet and let him do all the talking which in my case blew up in his face. When I told him I wanted a second opinion he blew up threatening to sue our insurance company. This man works on your emotions in a stressful situation. You really don't need this type of aggravation during this time. He wants you to quickly sign an agreement DON'T DO IT! Don't let him on your property and get everything in writing that he tells you. He is a wolf in sheep clothing. No stars for this company get a second opinion from another company like [redacted] the minute you tell this to [redacted] he will blow up on you. Hope this helps other consumers.
