The Complainant Claimant had already been compensated for the vehicle damages by her own insurance carrier Upon receipt of the Complainant’s insurance carrier’s subrogation proofs the claim was denied due to conflicting and misleading information provided to the Company in relation to the claimed loss The denial letter was forwarded to the Complainant Claimant’s Insurance Company since they had made payment to repair the Complainant’s vehicle The claim was handled properly and the Complainant was aware of the related investigation necessary to conclude the matter All rights and defenses are reserved and none are waived or invalidated

I definitely do not agree, because my sons did not drive my vehicle like American Freedom statesThey do not have their drivers license! I was the one driving when the accident happenedThe insurance took more than a month to find an excuse to find fault in my children because they don't have information on the other vehicle that crashed my car because it took off! All they are trying to do is screw me instead of helping meI'm paying insurance and making car payments on that vehicle that is parked at the body shop they send me to since February....now is that legal too? Also, I had to pay out of my own pocket for a car rental for more than two months because I didn't have a ride to workNow was I reimbursed all that amount...certainly not! Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 5, 2014/02/26) */ Please be advised that despite the fact that all the requested documents were not received, repairs for Complainant Insured's vehicle were authorized at a preferred body shop on 02/05/14, less than one (1) month after the lossOn 02/17/the body shop submitted a supplement for the repairs which were also promptly authorizedThis complaint is completely without merit as there was no delay attributable to this Company

As previously stated, the claim was denied due to conflicting and misleading information provided to the Company in relation to the claimed loss and no coverage or payment can be made to the Complainant or her insurance carrier The denial letter was forwarded to the Complainant Claimant’s insurance company since they had made payment to repair the Complainant’s vehicle and has represented her in a subrogation claim The claim was handled properly and the Complainant has been aware of the Company’s position All rights and defenses are reserved and none are waived or invalidated

Upon completion of our investigation, a settlement offer for the full amount of the damages claimed was made to the Complainant Upon receipt of the signed release a check will be issued to conclude this matter

American Freedom Insurance is the worst company I've ever dealt withOn October of this year my legally parked car was hit by a motorist insured with American Freedom InsuranceI wasn't in the carI called the police who issued the motorist a citationI then called my insurance company [redacted] ) who advised me that I would have to pay a deductible ($1,000) if I filed a formal complaint with [redacted] I then decided to contact American Freedom Insurance, and that's when all of my problems beganI received nothing but stalling and poor service from the claims adjusterHe didn't return my calls or my e-mailsI had to initiate the callsTheir appraiser came out to check my car for damages on 10-After leaving messages for the adjuster, I was finally able to reach him on 10-17, and he told me that the pictures and notes taken by the appraiser were still under reviewHe said the appraiser’s information needed to be double checked and that he wouldn’t accept the results of his own agentHowever, he didn’t tell me another appraiser would come out to examine my carI told him that it was unbelievable that he would doubt the reliability of his own agentHe also said his company needed to determine liability for the accidentHis client hit a car that was legally parked on the street, which is noted on the crash reportThis was a one-person accidentWhose fault could it be but the motorist plus the motorist admitted that he was solely responsibleThis was simply a stalling technique and an attempt to avoid paying me money for the repair or loss of my carFinally, on 10-I decided to contact my own insurance company and file a formal complaintBy 11-their appraiser had examined my car, declared it totaled, and I received a check for the loss of the carSo in less than two weeks [redacted] was able to do what American Freedom Insurance wasn't able to do in a monthAmerican Freedom Insurance authorized my use of a rental car, and I returned it on 10-I then sent a letter to them asking for reimbursement of the amount I paid for the rental car by 11-11, or I would sue their client in Small Claims CourtBased on past performance from this company, I don't think I will receive any moneySo, I guess I will be off to file the suit next weekAmerican Freedom Insurance should not be allowed to have an insurance licenseThe company is irresponsible and incapable of dealing with people honestlyI will be contacting the Revdex.com, the Illinois Insurance Board, and any other agency that I think will censure them and keep them from doing business again with anybody

I got insurance tyre SAVE A LOT AUTO in PEORIA ILLINOIS unfortunately they paired me 38th these yahoosOn Nov 1st I noticed damage to myself vehicle, reported it to police, reported it to American freedom and guess what months later they descide to tell me that myself vehicle is a piece of crap (their words) and for all they k is the damage could have already been thereFirst off myself truck is a (so a little older) it only has minimum rust spots around the wheel wales2nd there was NO scratches on it before this event so I would not day that's a piece of crapSerine as it drives EXTREMLY well and looks as good as it does for being years Old is day this company just does NOT want to do their job

Repairs to the Complainant’s vehicle were authorized less applicable deductions, including premium owed due to the usage of the vehicle for what qualified as business/occupational purposes this was not disclosed on the signed application of insurance and would have required a higher premium rate The Insured had been informed that she can have the vehicle repaired at one of the Company’s preferred body shops or a body shop of her choice per the Company’s agreed price
