EXTREMELY DISPLEASED WITH THE OWNER AT STORE *** LOCATED AT ***!!!!
This is our follow up email conversation after a phone conversation that Duane D (store owner) was reciting the manufactures warranty and that he wasn't going to address the issue with the mattress.
***. Per our conversation. You have reported that at this time that there is no defects and that you simply do not find this mattress comfortable. If you can Identify a manufacturers defect such as a dip or sag greater than 2 inches we will be happy to get you a new mattress.
The offer to give you a great deal on a new mattress still stands. But there will be no refunds on the current mattress.

Let's get something straight here. The expensive mattress that I purchase is not comfortable like the one you have on display at the store. This mattress is to firm. It's not contorting around my upper body. I'm a heavy side sleeper and is just not adjusting like it should. You mention that you're the owner, than act like a respectable business man that takes pride and stands behind the product it sells and knows how to take care of his customers. You mentioned that sometimes the more expensive items are not always the best. In my case your statement doesn't apply because I tried all of the mattress on the floor that you carry and this mattress felt the best. When I was at the store and Mathew (store manager) was helping me with my selection. He told me that the mattress I purchase is the best that you carry. The display model feels very comfortable and this mattress does not. Your display model has been on the floor for quite a while according to Mathew. He stated that people stay away after they see the price of the item. Therefore, this mattress has not got a lot of use. By the way, you need to stop saying that I don't like the mattress because that's not the case here. This mattress is not performing like it should and is not because I don't like it. This is the second mattress I try. The first one was way worse than this one. That mattress was very firm and it was nothing like the display. Mathew told me that there was a possibility that they gave a mattress that was at the bottom of the pile. He said that this happened one other time. This second one is slightly better. Unfortunately it still not very comfortable. Like I mentioned before on my previous email. I'm getting numbness on my arms, upper back pain, neck pain, and sleepless nights. I wake up tire in the mornings and is affecting me at work. I shouldn't be experience this kind of discomfort from this type of mattress. NOW!!! The icing on the cake here. With the statements that you made to me is just plain shady. If you where actually honest and believe plus stand by the product you sell. You wouldn't be telling me to keep this bad mattress and give you more money because you're going to give me a smoking deal if I buy another mattress from you. That's just a typical shady business man that's trying to squeeze more money out of a customer instead of dealing with the actual situation and try to help and resolve this issue. This is just another shady company that has found loop holes that lets you get away with not providing valuable customer service and do the right thing by your customers. Yes... you mention that there are 20+ stores and have been in business for over 20+ yrs and that possible have been on tv. Many good companies started hones and then they turn bad. Actions speak louder than words my good sir. I do appreciate you showing me your true colors.

american freight has false advertising.what they call lay away does not exist,what that means is
you get what is on the floor , no warehouse of items . we had furniture on " layaway" when we went to finalize our purchase we were told the furniture had been sold and also no longer available, we were told in no certain terms that we had to use the money we had already paid had to used as in store credit only,over 500.00 dollars, absolutely refused a full refund. recently I was told I had until
June 11 to make a purchase,then they will start taking out 10.00 a month out of my store credit.I am extremely angry with this stores business practices. oh, also they could not or would not tell me
when my furniture was sold. F or all I know I could have making payments on furniture that was already sold.!!!!

worse so called business ever. the people are extremely unprofessional. they take your money and will not give you the merchandise you paid for. still waiting 1 month they got my money and I have nothing

Purchased recliner in Nov 2018 and it was delivered in December 2018. I paid cash for our furniture. Day the recliner was delivered, it was damaged. It had 2 small holes in it and I immediately called, reported it, and sent pictures of it to Jesus who is in charge of American Freight Furniture in ***, Tx. He unformed me they would replace it. I have been waiting months for this replacement. I have made a trip back to the store, he said when it came in, he would replace it. March I call, Jesus informed me he had gotten on in, but had to give it to a paying customer. I said excuse me, I paid cash for mine and waited over a month for the furniture to come and when it did, it was defective. I am still waiting on the replacement. I have spoken to Leslie several times requesting this be taken care of. On April 10, 2019 Leslie informs me there are in stock and I would have to pay another $100 for delivery. I told her I had already paid for delivery and it was delivered defective which was not my fault. I called The corporate office who informed me, it would be taken care of. Jesus called and said they would deliver my recliner April 11, 2019. On 4/11/2019 @ 3 PM, I called to find out how late they deliver. Jesus informed me he was delivering it personally that evening when he got off work 8PM as he couldn't pay someone to deliver it. As you can read it is now 4/12/2019 @ 12:03 AM and the recliner was never delivered. No phone call either to say he wasn't coming. I will again call corporate office. If isn't resolved immediately, I am left no choice but to file legal proceedings as I feel I am being completely ripped off.

AMERICAN FREIGHT FURNITURE sells inferior furniture that does not last and they do not back their product. WARNING do not buy their sofa and love seat sets. The cushions sag within a year and will cause back and hip problems. Customer service is horrible. Manufacturers don't stand behind their product.

Will never buy furniture here again nor would I recommend it to anyone. I ordered new couches here for my new home 3 MONTHS IN ADVANCE. Delivery date comes and I get a call stating that they don’t have the loveseat that I ordered -_-. Why wait until the DAY OF DELIVERY to tell me? I drive to store to try to figure something out and I’m given a smaller chair in replace of the sofa I ordered and no refund. Fast forward. 2 weeks later I noticed the couch dips in the middle when you sit on it. I file a claim like I was told to and was told that I would receive a response within 30 days. Here we are almost 2 months later and still no response. I called the store and was told I would receive a call back and never did, Called again and was told “all sales are final. I clearly will have to take this higher up.

They assured me no credit was needed, and that credit would not be pulled by the company they financed through. I told them I wasn’t even sure if I was going to use them they said just do the app in case I decided to that it would effect my credit. I took forever to do the application because I READ everything and no where even on the app does it say they’re going to pull.. NEVER agreed to have my credit pulled and guess what happened?! My credit was pulled found out the day I was headed back to the store to pick out the couch, bed, and table. I went right back home, shady right off the bat.

Beware!
Our salesman was nice but do not I repeat DO NOT finance thru them. You have 3 months to pay it off . If you don’t, they charge you $5 a day. In the past 5 months I have paid them almost 1,000 and my bill went down $35 . They don’t explain everything up front and they punch in your name on the computer for your receipt. So really you aren’t even signing for it. So for a $1500 couch I am paying 4,000 for it and the couch didn’t even hold up. I would never shop here again!

We purchased a sectional, ottoman, and the American Freight furniture insurnace on 08/18/2017. Our sectional obtained excuse cushing which lead to damages like rips and tear--making our sectional no longer functional. We submitted a guardian claim in November 2018; however, we had no respond from the store of purchase. We had e-mailed and left voice messages to the store of purchase to check on our claim status with no response. The website we filed the claim stated that a store manager will contact us regarding this issue, which is a false statement. I arrived to the American Freight store in person and the manager quoted saying to me that "that was from an act of God, we do not cover that". There is nothing in writing stating that the insurance we had purchased on 08/18/2017 is not covered by "acts of God". Our sectional and ottoman sustained excess cushing which lead to damages like rips and tears--which matches the list of what the insurnace covers. The manager continued to exercise religion to the conversation, which had nothing to do with my question. There is no customer service values at the *** FL store. At the same time, I requested a physical copy of the insurance cover and the manager handed me a guardian clam packet that showed nothing about natural disaster damages has the only exception to ther policy. I asked the store manager for the corporate office number and received the answering machine to their store instead, which I am pretty certain this store is not headquarters/main corporate office. This company appears to present false advertisement and religious discrimination to even mention the connotations of "God" to a answer a store customer question.

I Ordered a set of tables and 2 lamps over a month ago. I was guaranteed I would get everything within 30 days. I didn't receive the lamps and I had to call about the tables. I picked up the tables which are not very good quality but I guess you get what you pay for. They keep giving me one excuse or another about a truck coming in etc. It is well over the 30 days and I want my money back. I called but they say I have to talk to someone else and of course that person hasn't called me back. I don't want to have to go back in to the store, I want my money back!

Made a purchase last year and out of the box the couch was broken and did not operate correctly. After a month or 2 finally got my replacements. And a few months later the couches starting falling apart . Poor crafmenship, below standard building materials. Submitted a manufactured warranty, they stated that I would get and answer within 30 days. It has been 35 days and nothing so far. When I call the store, the store owner/manager give me a terrible attitude and tells me that we are in tax season and that will take longer than 30 days. Now I have to sit in broken and inoperable furniture after paying $2,500. Worst furniture store I have ever purchased from.

This matter concerns the poor customer service I received during and after my purchase on December 24, 2018. On the said date, I visited the Trussville store to purchase a mattress set. Once we got there, I made the decision to also purchase a bedroom set as well. During my visit, I noticed the staff was stretched thin and was unorganized. It took me over 2 hours to purchase a mattress and bedroom set. The store manager, Rodney, was not fully aware of what items were in stock. It seemed like every time we chose a set he would say, "oh we have it in-house", but 30 minutes later he would say no we do not have it. So we would have to start our search all over again. Every time we chose a set either a nightstand and/or mirror would be missing or the item would be damaged. When we finally found a complete set he returned from the back to tell me the headboard had a few scratches on it and the bedrails seemed to be missing; however, he would give me small discount ($80) and send me home with some temporary rails. Before I left the store, Rodney informed me that he would notify (after he returned from vacation) me when the correct rails are received. Since never called me as he promised, I ended up having to call him instead. When I spoke to him around the end of January 2019, he told me that the rails were in-house and I could come pick them up. When I picked them up on that following Sunday, I noticed the box was extremely tall for full size rails. I asked if the rails were the correct size and he reassured me they were the correct size. Well, when we tried to put them on the bed on March 15th, we noticed the rails were for a queen size bed and not a full. I called back to the store and spoke with Carli who tried to resolve the issue by offering to order the correct rails and a $100 store credit. She advised me that I would have to come pick them up. I told her I refused to drive another 40 minutes to sit and wait while the search for the rails and get it wrong again. I told her they should have them delivered at Rodney's expense. Carli stated that's not possible since deliveries are made by a third party vendor and the customer is responsible for paying the delivery cost(s). I told her to have Rodney call me since all of this is his fault and I shouldn't have to keep fixing his issues. Carli stated she will give him the message. As of today, I have not heard from him or anyone from the store. I will never purchase another item from your store and I am definitely going to share my experience with others. I've purchased furniture from other stores and has never been treated so poorly. At this point, someone from the corporate office needs to contact me regarding resolving this matter before I make my last payment on May 2, 2019.

I ordered furniture from this store a month ago and I still haven’t received my furniture they keep telling me that the items I ordered and payed for aren’t in the store when I went to the store picked out what I wanted payed for it left the store with the paperwork stating the items will be delivered on a certain date which I also payed for still nothing. I called several times and I keep getting the run arounds about when the furniture will be there or delivered to my home. I will never purchase from this store again. Horrible service.

It’s nice to get furniture. But THEIR company didn’t take out payment as we discussed. They screwed up. I called into the company to let them know. They were supposed to fix it. THEIR employees didn’t do what we discussed, AGAIN. Now they took out 4 payments at once. . . Bc THEIR employees screwed up. Now if I mess up at my job, I would get fired or sued. Terrible services. The employees must not have passed the 6th grade.

Will never buy anything else from Louisville, KY. After they make the sale, they do not care. They will tell you they will find out what is going on and call you back, they do not. When you call again they will say 2 weeks.

This was possibly the worst decision I’ve made to buy furniture from here. I ordered a bed set 12/12 and was told to allow 6-8 weeks ok fine. Well 8 weeks approach’s and I was told the trunk has been delayed and they don’t know when it’ll be there. I said ok this shouldn’t be more then two weeks correct and I was confirmed that it wouldn’t. I waited an additional 4 weeks before calling back to be told it would be there that Friday, called back that Friday and was told sorry it was delayed again won’t come in until Monday. So now I’m mad of course, I was given a $400 credit( which I wasn’t allowed to use but I’ll get to that) and the regional managers number. I gave her a call she upgraded me to a better bed set and I was told it’ll all be at my house that night. The delivery did not show up until 11:30 and a good bit of the upgraded furniture was not on the truck. I open the chest I had gotten and it didn’t have a top drawer. They then say we can get this out to you when you get back from vacation. So it comes we build the bet many many issues with it and the brace for the mirror are missing l. I send all the concerns to the regional manager pictures videos all of it. I go into the store and tell that manager what happened because the regional didn’t get back to me in the 15-20 minutes I was promised. That manager said what can I do to make this all right, I said well I have to furnish my house. There was a table a chair and bed set I still needed. I said can you comp the table and chair I’ll keep the damage upgrade bet set and still buy the other bed set. That manager said yea, but then the regional called him not me called him and told him no that’s not happening. So I called her she says to me there’s nothing wrong with that bed my frame is Crooked and that she’s never had some have the audacity to ask for that amount of free things. In response I said well ma’am you also said you never had someone wait 13 weeks for furniture. (Which still to this day they don’t have the furniture I purchased) so I said well fine I ll use my credit that I was promised and be done she in response says no that offer is off the table you can either have a refund and we will pick up the furniture or deal with it. I then ask for her bosses number he just was no help he said you can have 35% off your additional order. That was no help. The product is a liability. It has been awful. I should have been compensated for all of the wait time the issues and missing pieces. Absolutely horrible would not recommend. I also witnessed multiple other customers complaining and coming in for refunds because of multiple issues as well.

Company fails to tell.its customers that upon buying the furniture, that set up is not included with the $100 delivery fee. Also my furniture can at the most inappropriate time of the night and the drivers that are subcontracted to deliver for the company have no problem telling you that this company does nothing but lies to its customers. Then upon receiving my delivery, they still forgot my headboard, footboard, and mirror to my dresser and promised to deliver it the next day and I still haven't recieved it. I wouldn't recommend this business and wish I could just send what I have back and get a refund. Not very happy at all. The whole experience has been nothing but an inconvenient experience.

We were supposed to have a delivery today by pm and haven’t received our furniture or word on delivery.
