American Gates and Fencing

Review: The pickets on the fencing project are splitting again. The horizontal 2x4 going along the back of the fence is defective(wood is missing). Products used were purchased,I understand, from [redacted], and were below grade for what I had paid ($1000.00 for 20ft of fence) according to another business that does fences. Out of approx 33 pickets, at least 12-13 split right after construction which they replaced, then while replacing them they sprung the hinge on the gate. The owner came out and rebuilt the gate and replaced some more pickets. I have had them out 3xs to either replace the split pickets and/or the gate which was warped by the previous worker who sprung the hinge trying to repair the pickets on the gate. Granted they have been out to right the wrongs, but the problems still seem to surface. And now, while trying to paint the fence, another picket has split and I found that the horizontal 2x4 lumber is defective! I am a single woman an RN practicing now for 30yrs as a nurse who knows good construction and quality work as I try to give optimum,quality care to my patients. This is not quality materials or work. I have had other homes and have had fences done so this is not a new venture for me. I did some research and found that the pickets that were used for this project costs $2.45 each then xs 33 pickets= $80.85 / then add the gate with steel reinforcement and 3 steel posts = I was charged $1000.00.Desired Settlement: Using good quality materials for longevity.
