American Girl

I placed an order with American Girl 3 days ago with shipping close to $10. The order has still not been processed 3 days later. I emailed twice and they only sent one email confirmation and it said something of the sort, "we're busy give us awhile to respond." It's funny to me that the company makes so much money taking advantage of parents with the prices, just to tack on the outrageous shipping. I called and asked them to modify the order at 7 AM. He said whether the order has been processed or not you can not modify or cancel an order an any time, regardless of if the order has been processed or not, which my email did NOT state. He said "I can start a new order for you." Um if I cared to start a new order with outrageous shipping, I could have done it online. I paused and he sounded annoyed and asks what I want him to do, like I'm wasting his time. I said okay it's fine I'll just write a bad review. He sounded glad to say "okay that's .." and I hung up and have been posting on every website since. It's funny that they didn't offer a promo code, or free rewards points for the hassle. Like Sephora did when I wanted to return a product after the allowed time frame. It's called aiming to please customers. Yes this is the straw that broke the camels back, but I will also mention that each and every time we visit the Chicago location, everyone is unhelpful and the furthest thing from friendly. It's all just about money. Not a fun environment for the kids. Just somewhere to get in and get you overpriced accessories for a different brand name doll since American Dolls are creepy and useless. Congrats Mattel, my business from now on will go to Hasbro!
