Ms [redacted] has provided inaccurate informationShe requested that AGI provide a private [redacted] training at our locationWe arranged for an instructor and set-aside a room for a 1-on-private day of trainingWe do not host websites and do not sell software or applicationsWe provide courses, consulting, and trainingMs [redacted] ’s frustrations can be directly attributed to the complexity of managing a [redacted] site, the complexity of a second web-base application that she wishes to link to [redacted] , and her web hosting providerPrior to the training Ms [redacted] sent six email messages to the instructor requesting that we include highly specific information during their time togetherThe week prior to their time together, the instructor outlined that her expectations were likely exceeding what could be accomplished in a single day, especially considering she had little to no familiarity with these applications or services prior to our time with herQuoting from the instructors email message to Ms [redacted] (complete text below):”I do have concerns about whether the site design ideas you have outlined can be fully achieved using an off-the-shelf theme in [redacted] While virtually anything is possible in a custom theme, the development of a custom theme is well beyond what can be covered in a single day.” After spending a day with her, our instructor believes she would need skills from an introductory and advanced [redacted] course, or the assistance of an experienced [redacted] developer to assist her with the integration she is seekingWe could not know this until spending the day consulting with her and working to fully understand the requirementsAbout our engagement with Ms [redacted] : Ms [redacted] on several occasions has exaggerated the time required to respondShe has sent emails after midnight and calls at am complaining of a lack of responseWe scheduled services with her upon confirmation of available dates and space at our facility We assigned an instructor that is a published author who has delivered hundreds of training sessions and has more than a decade of web publishing experienceHe is highly qualified for working with [redacted] and about the web in general Ms [redacted] requested we examine integration of [redacted] with a specific service she usesOur instructor spent more than two hours prior to meeting Ms [redacted] to familiarize himself with this service and its integration Ms [redacted] arrived nearly minutes late for her appointmentThe instructor graciously agreed to remain an additional minutes beyond their agreed-upon end-time Against the instructor’s advice she spent significant time on the phone with her hosting provider while our instructor waited for her Ms [redacted] did not have full access to the services on which she wanted to work She lacked certain foundational skills which would be required to achieve her desired results, which required spending time on more basic skillsWe extended her a $credit towards the foundational [redacted] courseEven if she decides not to take the course with us, this is a skill she will need in order to reach her objectives as we understand them Ms [redacted] requested and received the time and expertise of a [redacted] consultant and instructorHe spent several hours before the engagement and a full day with herHe provided the level of assistance and instruction that could be delivered in a single dayThere is a reason why our series of [redacted] courses cover four days, and we have additional courses covering multiple days for other related skillsThese are complex topics which require more than a single day to learnIt is offesive for Ms [redacted] to suggest that we are anything short of professionalWe are a group of highly professional web professionals, designers, and educatorsHer communication with us has been inflammatory which continues in the note to Revdex.comOur instructor’s message to Ms [redacted] is incorporate in building a lesson plan for the dayI do have concerns about whether the site design ideas you have outlined can be fully achieved using an off-the-shelf theme in [redacted] While virtually anything is possible in a custom theme, the development of a custom theme is well beyond what can be covered in a single dayWe can certainly work though everything that is possible within Ms [redacted] sent on September 14, 2016, which she acknowledged receiving:Dear Ms [redacted] :I am in receipt of your letter dated September 8, 2016.In your note, you indicated that you sent an email and did not receive a replyYour email was sent after midnight on Friday morning at 12:amThe next morning you called and spoke to [redacted] in our office, less than hours after sending your email, most of the elapsed time between your email and call was during the overnight hoursWhile it is technically accurate that I did not respond to your email in the overnight hours, it is incorrect to characterize me or our organization as nonresponsiveTo say that you have not heard from Ms [redacted] “ever again” is not accurate, as you wrote your letter the same day in which you spoke with herShe told you that the other instructor was on her honeymoon, which you reference, and thus she would need to work with her to arrange her schedule upon her returnAs you were talking with Ms [redacted] and she was working to address your concerns, it appeared to be heading towards resolutionFrom your letter, it is clear that you continue to have concerns, which I will address below:Prior to the training session you sent the instructor six (6) separate email messages on August with questions and direction for the classUsing this and several follmessages, Mr [redacted] spent a significant amount of time reviewing your requested directionHe planned for the items you outline, much of which focused around integrating your [redacted] site with a [redacted] siteAt your request, he evaluated and studied approaches to integrating a [redacted] blog and a [redacted] site, and by studying the [redacted] plfor [redacted] to provide a menu in [redacted] that reflected and linked to [redacted] These are custom [redacted] items that were studied and evaluated by Mr [redacted] exclusively for your benefitHe shared with you the approaches for integrating [redacted] and [redacted] Customized [redacted] sites are complex to develop, and integrating with a third-party plsuch as [redacted] is constrained by limitations created by the developer of the plug-inThese are not limitations imposed by our instructorAs Mr [redacted] indicated to you in his email message on August 26, “I do have concerns about whether the site design ideas you have outlined can be fully achieved using an off-the-shelf theme in [redacted] While virtually anything is possible in a custom theme, the development of a custom theme is well beyond what can be covered in a single day.” It is important to note that the integration you requested requires a full [redacted] site in addition to a [redacted] siteYou may find this blog post to be quite helpful in explaining this: [redacted] Mr [redacted] accurately indicated that you would need to point to a separate [redacted] siteThis is also documented on the [redacted] site: [redacted] From the second link (emphasis added), “ build two separate websites, one on each platformTypically, [redacted] , which is self-hosted (that means installed on a server rented by the photographer from a hosting provider), powers what I call the portfolio site: homepage, portfolio pages, all the blog content and most of the static pages (About, Contact, etc.)While [redacted] , hosted on [redacted] ’s own servers, powers the photo archives.” The quoted text is from [redacted] ’s own blog.In your email message of September you indicated frustration that the instructor indicated there was a need to leave at the end of the dayWhile the start time was arranged at 9:and the end time at 4:30, you arrived nearly minutes beyond the appointed start time and Mr [redacted] worked to accommodate your delayed arrival by remaining as late as his schedule allowed, past the scheduled end time of 4:Additionally, during the course of the time at our location and against the advice of Mr [redacted] , you spent part of the time purchasing web hosting and transferring the domain to a new hosting providerAfter this process, you then redirected the domain name servers (DNS) to point back to your original siteThis effort detracted from his ability to focus on [redacted] with youThese events were beyond our control and likely contributed to the frustration you express in your email and letterMr [redacted] correctly indicates that learning to build and customize [redacted] is a complex processAn experienced web professional will typically enroll in both introductory and advanced training over the course of four days before building a site using only [redacted] standard functionalityIf they are new to web development, they will also learn HTML, CSS, and PHP, taking several addition weeks of timeIt appears from your letter that you are looking to fast-track this process, wanting to accomplish significantly more in an abbreviated timeframeYour expectations from the initial email messages were unsettled and evolvingWe attempted to solidify these to create a suitable plan for the day, and over the course of the day with Mr [redacted] , your expectations appeared to evolve further.Your letter also adds 1) at the end of the day you wished to install a specific theme, and you appeared surprised that Mr [redacted] had not purchased a specific themeThere are more than 10, [redacted] themesNo consultant or instructor will know all of themChanging themes is something that would not likely be a priority in any training or setup situation, as structuring the site and data are the underpinnings of any siteThe theme can be applied after the site content and structure are establishedThere is nothing unusual about not spending time on the topic of theming if time was instead spent on other topics; 2) Your second numbered point (paragraph six of your letter) starts with an incomplete sentence that I cannot understandMr [redacted] did not direct the changing of your web hosting provider, and discouraged you from making changes during your time togetherThis process requires planning and can be time consuming, which is why he suggested not doing it at that timeIn this same paragraph you reference Mr [redacted] not knowing that you wanted your website address pointing to the [redacted] site, yet you sent Mr [redacted] instructions for your integrating a [redacted] plfor [redacted] into a [redacted] siteSimilarly, all references and documentation indicate the need to create a fully separate [redacted] site and also an independent [redacted] siteIn summary, you requested our instructor to complete a significant amount of time reviewing and planning to assist you with a [redacted] integrationYou then arrived late, stayed late, spent time during the sessions shifting your domain hosting and domain name server entries After having the instructor spend four hours of time reviewing your requests, studying your requested integration, then spending a full day with you, it is your desire to not pay for this service. As a parallel, if a client of your law firm requested the attorneys review the feasibility of an acquisition, or study the viability of a proposed tax strategy, it is my suspicion that the firm would request payment regardless of whether the client liked the outcome of the study or the complexity of the solutionIn this case an expert with [redacted] – and web publishing in general – has reviewed your proposed integration, spent the day with you – and he rightfully deserves to expect the agreed upon compensationIn the case of Mr [redacted] , you requested him to review materials, prepare, and spend time with youI understand that you did not like the outcome, but it appears that you may not fully understand that you will need to have two websites (as described on the links provided above), including a fully functioning [redacted] site to achieve the results desiredA [redacted] website will not be fully sand themed within a single dayWe can share with you the skills needed to build the [redacted] componentIf you wish to go forward with this integration, you will need a fully functional [redacted] siteWe will extend to you a $credit towards an introductory [redacted] course should you wish to continue to pursue this as your website platformAs it appears that you were unprepared for all that is involved with establishing a [redacted] site, this will help to provide you with the foundation skills needed for creating the separate [redacted] siteMr [redacted] does teach many of these courses – and has consistently positive reviews from students in these classesThe class does follow a set curriculum, and as such is only focused on the standard [redacted] functionality.Sincerely, [redacted] ***

I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # ***.
Oh my goodness This is the most bizarre thing I have ever experienced I've already read these accusations and tirades against me in his answer to the credit card company I have yet to hear from the instructor, who indeed knows what the truth is and what he actually did/didn't do that day This is scaryEven if they don't have the money to return, get the truth from from the instructor and work something out with the customer, even if it meant a partial return Do something I stated to the owner before I did the credit card dispute that he could have handled this better I know it's hard We all know its hardIf they are a small company, that is completely understandable The owner is a small business person who relied on this instructor as an agent for his business The owner also has expenses in running his business I get that But don't take it out on me, for what the agent did not provide Absolutely nothing in my complaint is false Not one word, and the instructor knows this The person constantly responding was not there I have already stated that I sent several emails prior to the 1-1, as I thought this would benefit the instructor with his preparation, and the instructor did indeed encourage it The owner keeps using these emails as proof against me that the instructor provided a service and that I'm some sort of unreasonable demanding person I made no demands of this instructor In my final email, I stated that I don't want anything complicated like customizations I wanted to keep it simpleI don't know who these people are and I don't know why this owner is responding this way This instructor should stand up and speak the truth Just tell the truth

There remain at least four items upon which we both agree:The client requested a one-day private session with the instructor at our location in midtown NYC, and we both agree this was providedThe client arrived minutes late for the session, which used some of her available timeThe client used time during the session to make phone calls, limiting her ability to work with the instructorThe client spent the full day in a private session with the instructorAt some point after midnight, hours after she left the session with the instructor, the client authored a long email indicating that her objectives were not metThe proposed resolution offered to the client is also not in dispute:The client was offered the opportunity to work with a different instructor in an effort to meet her needsShe rejected this offerThe client was a partial credit towards a future public course that covers the topics we understand that she needs to learnShe also rejected this offerThe client was offered, provided, and received a partial refundEven after she rejected this as insufficient, we have still provided it to her as a gesture of good-will.For more than two decades we have operated a consulting and training organizationClients can come to our offices, they can work with instructors that have published more than books combined: you can walk into a *** * *** and find books from our teamWe seek to provide services that are of value, and in more than years this is the first and only complaint that we have received where we cannot find a satisfactory resolution after offering services to more than 50,individualsThe individual involved in the complaint has digressed into name-calling and making accusations that have little or no bearing on the resolution of this situationWhen we offered a repeat session with a different instructor but noted that they were on their honeymoon and thus it would take a few weeks to schedule, she mocked this and effectively indicated that it was not trueAs many of our staff went to the wedding, we simply don't know how to respond to thisShe makes claims that our instructor's personal website has changed, and that this must somehow be evidence of fraudAgain, we simply have no response to this type of statement from herWe wish that there were some resolution that could satisfy this individual and help her meet her needs, but that does not appear to be possible as every offer we have provided has been rejected

I do not understand the extent of what AGI will say and do to avoid the truth. It is beyond the pale of anything I have ever seen from any business in my entire life As a consumer, they have treated me very badly, to the point where it goes completely outside the realm of any sort of credible business transaction Nothing in their responses are true, with the exception of the fact that I arrived minutes late What is also disconcerting, is that I just went to the instructor *** ***' website, and he completely redid it. I looked at the same links that I sent to the bank in my credit card dispute The pages are now different I did not take screen shots of what they looked like before, however the credit card company has these same exact links on file with my credit card dispute These links now bring up more professional looking pages with additional content. His online courses page is now loaded with reviews that weren’t there before*** He now has a SYLLABUS tab, and a REVIEWS tab, among other tabs listed on his course page that were not there before (I couldn’t show a link for a *** course because there aren’t any on his site. Not before and not now, at least not that I saw or see) Having a syllabus and reviews are things that I stated I would like to see done as part of my Revdex.com complaint against this company Now these things are on the instructor’s new website. They are using me, this situation, (actually this complaint) to further their own agendas, These are tactics*** He now has a tab talking about all of his qualifications (which the owner of AGI, never failed to tell me about over and over again) The instructor must have been typing this up really fast because he left pieces of HTML code in the visualHe now has lots of reviews that weren’t there before. In fact he had only reviews before. One dated May 2015, and one dated December I won’t even bother with going and looking at AGI’s website again. This is all just too fraudulent at this point In any case, changing content on websites has no relevance to what is absolutely empirical with regard to this company’s actual actions and behavior This just further proves who they areIn Mr***'s response to my correspondence to him after the class, he accused me, spoke down to me, he kept making statements about me, including saying I asked to combine and build a customized *** site, something that never happened He talked about the instructor spending time working on this before the class and provided a link with regard to what the instructor was “studying”, thereby refusing the refundI never asked for this, and the instructor never discussed this with me I don’t even know how they found this You hire people to do things like this Before the class, I sent C*** and D*** the page from *** describing what I wanted It wasn’t this link (see below) that Mr*** put in his letter*** I was never looking to combine a *** site and a *** site in order to build a custom website. I wanted an integrated blog and links between my *** site and My *** site. By now, I have developed enough knowledge on the subject to know that this is MAYBE a minute thing. 2. Those *** links in Mr***’s correspondence are outdated. You can no longer combine and build a custom website with them like this (which I didn’t ask for anyway). What is on those links that C*** put in his correspondence do not work with their current website templates (one of which I have). Therefore the integration in that link that C*** said that the instructor spent time studying, and I should pay for, does not work. I don’t know why they searched for these articles, when I already gave them the instructionsPlease look at the link and information in the email I sent to D*** and C***, and look at the information in the email that D*** sent to me when class was over (so that I could integrate my blog at home myself)It’s all the same correct informationAdditionally D*** created a *** account and integrated a blog on his own before the class. He showed it to me. So he did indeed use the correct information, although C*** told me that I should pay for D*** studying information that does not workAlso, towards the end when I reminded the instructor that I wanted an integrated blog, the instructor had me do it using the correct instructions (which only took a few minutes), it didn’t work for me and I couldn’t understand why. He said that maybe it will take time for mine to work and emailed me the attached instructions (that I already sent him before class). I now know that the reason the integration didn’t work when I did it was because I didn’t do the simple thing of going into my ** and installing the *** plprior to doing the integration. Again, the instructor sat right there and didn’t tell me that I had to go into my ** and simply download and install the pl(the ** that C*** said that the instructor advised me not to install). The instructor said that maybe mine didn’t work because mine will take time. Then he said, “Why don’t you just create a link”? And that was itThere’s even a video with the same how to integrate a blog information*** In this latest Revdex.com response, Mr*** now states, “We gladly refund any fees paid up through the mid-point of any class or engagement if the client is not satisfied”. This is the first I’m hearing such a thing, he never stated or offered any such thing to me, nor told me anything about any mid-point class refundAccording to Mr***, “We also offered a partial refund” AGI never did any such thingI am attaching the dispute letter from *** with regard to being “offered” a refund from Mr***. He did not offer a refund and in fact refusedMr*** offered me a $credit towards paying for and taking yet another course with AGI, stating that “We will extend to you a $credit towards an introductory *** course should you wish to continue to pursue this as your website platform, as it appears that you were unprepared for all that is involved with establishing a *** site” (see attached)Mr*** suggested that I spend more money (on top the nearly thousand dollars I gave them), with his companyConstantly stating that I arrived minutes late is a deflection from the actions or lack thereof of this company The business' time for my late arrival of minutes is correct We did not stay late Mr*** states that I made poor use of the time. I state that this instructor made no use of the time. Also, I did not just make phone calls to other companies regarding website hosting. I did not have *** when I went to this “ class". I told the instructor and AGI in an email before this class that I would install *** before we met, asking the instructor which install should I get “managed ***” or “Linux” (see attachment). He responded that we should set this up together (see attachment). That is why I was on the phone with a host This is what I had to do to get a *** install I had to get on the phone with a host and purchase ** In his response, Mr*** said that the instructor advised me against installing ** Totally false. And if *** wasn’t installed, what was he going to do? How can you work on something if it’s not installed? Advising me not to install ** wouldn’t have made any senseThis instructor came in with nothingHe had no plan, no schedule, no outline for the day Nothing He just had a lot of conversation Asking about my business, the cost of doing my business, and things not related to ** and performing this service In Mr***’s correspondence to me, he said that my expectations kept evolving throughout the day, which is why the instructor couldn’t do the job This is blatantly untrue (now he changed that to saying I was on the phone all day) All I asked for was an integrated blog and links between my *** and *** site They never say what the instructor actually didAs far as the install that we were supposed to do together, the problem was, the instructor had me do it (he didn’t help so that it was done correctly) He didn’t discuss anything with me about ** installs before the call. The install did in fact turn out not to be the best for my purposes Something I have since learned through doing research on different ** installs on my own The instructor never went through using a server or a managed *** or anything I called the ** host on the instructor’s cellphone, with the phone on speaker while we both sat there, and I did everything myself. The problem was, he sat there and listened to me do something that he was supposed to be expert at, but had me sit and do He listened to me have the *** site point to the wrong domain because he never set up a sub domain with me first. And yes, I was too inexperienced to catch that and I caught it later. But why was he there? Why was he being paid? It was like he was a disinterested party I then also had to get on the phone with my own website host to get my website running again This was all the effect of the instructor not making use of time to get this install done correctly to begin with. But again, as I have learned, what I wanted done doesn’t take much time, so I don’t know why it wasn’t doneAt the end of all this, with the exception of the minute late arrival, this business’ entire response is false, right down to having their finance company remove a fictional credit (unless he talking about that $credit towards purchasing another class with them and now only paying $695.00. Is there some thought that I would actually do that?) As I have stated, I was never offered a refund of any sort, at any time I will provide the dispute number should the credit card company ever need to be contactedThey can also confirm that I sent them the above links to the instructor’s site, they may remember what they saw (or didn’t see) They never communicated with me as a business who cares about customers, in fact the opposite And they are being manipulative with everything they do and say. They never offered any refund Not full, not partial, not anythingHence this Revdex.com claim. They never offered me anything before the credit card company dispute, not during the credit card dispute and as stated in their last Revdex.com response not now The credit card company has since credited me $I am requesting a refund of $

We gladly refund any fees paid up through the mid-point of any class or engagement if the client is not satisfied. After the service is complete, we will work to try and find a resolution if there is a concern, such as offering a repeat of the course or service, which is what we did in this case. We also offered a partial refund, and also a credit towards a future course, all of which were rejected. This client received a full day of private instruction at our facility. She received one full day of private 1-on-1 time with a highly qualified individual. She made poor use of the time with the instructor by arriving late and making phone calls to other companies regarding her web hosting. Despite this, we have offered this client a credit towards a future course so that she can learn the basic skills she needs based upon the objectives she defined to us. She has refused this. We have offered her a partial refund as she did not contact us until after she had spent the full day with the instructor. We offer a full refund through the mid-point in any session. She has refused the partial refund, so we will have our finance department remove the credit which had been offered and charge the full amount, as we appear to be unable to offer any accommodation which will satisfy her. We regret that we were unable to come to a mutually agreeable resolution.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted].
If in fact, this business is truly the quality customer service company that they claim to be, with a culture of maintaining customer satisfaction, then there has to be a reason as to why they have been/are different with me.  I don't know why or what those issues are.  Only they know that. The points that the business made do not indicate any sort of service. It was the instructor who told me to do the install at the session, hence the phone call to the host.  It was the instructor who did not instruct with regard to the install, leaving things to be done incorrectly, hence spending time on the phone getting my site back.  It was the poor instruction and lack thereof that caused the problem.  I don’t know why the business can’t accept this.  But that goes back to my first statement. I did not reject the offer to get another instructor when this was offered to me by A. [redacted] when I spoke to her on the phone, even though I wasn’t obligated to get another instructor.  In fact Ms. [redacted] asked me if I was requesting a refund or will I take another instructor.  The average person would have said no to another instructor after having dealt with the first instructor they sent.  I chose to try and said yes.  I only said no a week later in correspondence sent to the business because I did not hear back from them with a time frame for a new instructor.  The fact is I was not obligated, and I didn’t trust them.  Through all of this I can see I was correct in feeling that way. I didn’t believe that I would have ever heard from them again.I am also not obligated to spend more money with this business by accepting a $200.00 credit towards taking another course.  They didn’t even tell me what the charge of the course is, just that they would give me a $200.00 credit meaning that I would be giving them more money.  I am not obligated to give them more money and I don’t know why anybody with a complaint would turn around and give the business more money on top of nearly one thousand dollars. They never offered any refund.  They never provided a partial refund.  Their words, “Even after she rejected this as insufficient, we have still provided it to her as a gesture of good-will.”My Goodness.[redacted] posted a $240.00 credit to my account  after this dispute was closed.  That is why I reduced the amount of this claim in my last response.  I did that because it is the right thing to do.  After I read this business’ last response, I called [redacted].  [redacted] told me that this credit came directly from [redacted].  They asked me, “Why is this business saying that this refund came from them?”.   She said that the business refused any kind of refund.  I said “I don’t know.”  The person then told me to hold on, and went and spoke to a supervisor.  She then came back to me and said that  they will be mailing a letter to me stating that [redacted] (not this business), provided that credit and I should have that letter in 7 - 10 business days.I would like this business to show:At any time, where they offered, and also where they provided a refund, at any time, full or partial. Having offered services to 50,000 individuals, how many of these are $895.00 one-to-one, one day ** sessions.  I ask this knowing that they can say anything they want.  But I want them to say it.

Ms. [redacted] has provided inaccurate information. She requested that AGI provide a private [redacted] training at our location. We arranged for an instructor and set-aside a room for a 1-on-1 private day of training. We do not host websites and do not sell software or applications. We provide...

courses, consulting, and training. Ms. [redacted]’s frustrations can be directly attributed to the complexity of managing a [redacted] site, the complexity of a second web-base application that she wishes to link to [redacted], and her web hosting provider. Prior to the training Ms. [redacted] sent six email messages to the instructor requesting that we include highly specific information during their time together. The week prior to their time together, the instructor outlined that her expectations were likely exceeding what could be accomplished in a single day, especially considering she had little to no familiarity with these applications or services prior to our time with her. Quoting from the instructors email message to Ms. [redacted] (complete text below):”I do have concerns about whether the site design ideas you have outlined can be fully achieved using an off-the-shelf theme in [redacted]. While virtually anything is possible in a custom theme, the development of a custom theme is well beyond what can be covered in a single day.” After spending a day with her, our instructor believes she would need skills from an introductory and advanced [redacted] course, or the assistance of an experienced [redacted] developer to assist her with the integration she is seeking. We could not know this until spending the day consulting with her and working to fully understand the requirements. About our engagement with Ms. [redacted]: 1.    Ms. [redacted] on several occasions has exaggerated the time required to respond. She has sent emails after midnight and calls at 9 am complaining of a lack of response. We scheduled services with her upon confirmation of available dates and space at our facility. 2.    We assigned an instructor that is a published author who has delivered hundreds of training sessions and has more than a decade of web publishing experience. He is highly qualified for working with [redacted] and about the web in general. 3.    Ms. [redacted] requested we examine integration of [redacted] with a specific service she uses. Our instructor spent more than two hours prior to meeting Ms. [redacted] to familiarize himself with this service and its integration. 4.    Ms. [redacted] arrived nearly 30 minutes late for her appointment. The instructor graciously agreed to remain an additional 30 minutes beyond their agreed-upon end-time. 5.    Against the instructor’s advice she spent significant time on the phone with her hosting provider while our instructor waited for her. 6.    Ms. [redacted] did not have full access to the services on which she wanted to work. 7.    She lacked certain foundational skills which would be required to achieve her desired results, which required spending time on more basic skills. We extended her a $200 credit towards the foundational [redacted] course. Even if she decides not to take the course with us, this is a skill she will need in order to reach her objectives as we understand them. 8.    Ms. [redacted] requested and received the time and expertise of a [redacted] consultant and instructor. He spent several hours before the engagement and a full day with her. He provided the level of assistance and instruction that could be delivered in a single day. There is a reason why our series of [redacted] courses cover four days, and we have additional courses covering multiple days for other related skills. These are complex topics which require more than a single day to learn. It is offesive for Ms. [redacted] to suggest that we are anything short of professional. We are a group of highly professional web professionals, designers, and educators. Her communication with us has been inflammatory which continues in the note to Revdex.com. Our instructor’s message to Ms. [redacted] is below. Following this is our message to Ms. [redacted] as well. > From: [redacted] > Sent: Friday, August 26, 2016 1:40 PM > To: [redacted], [redacted] > Cc: [redacted]; [redacted] (AGI) > Subject: Followup on our upcoming class Part II > > Hi [redacted], > > I had a chance to consult more with my colleagues here at AGI Training on the various email messages you've sent. I will do my best to use them to incorporate in building a lesson plan for the day. I do have concerns about whether the site design ideas you have outlined can be fully achieved using an off-the-shelf theme in [redacted]. While virtually anything is possible in a custom theme, the development of a custom theme is well beyond what can be covered in a single day. We can certainly work though everything that is possible within your chosen theme, or look at alternatives.  In many cases it is the best use of time and resources to find a theme that covers most of what you want and install this, then apply any minor customizations. We can discuss these options and your preferences when we are together. > > So... we'll work through this when we meet next Wednesday, 9:30 AM. Looking forward to that! > > [redacted]My message to Ms. [redacted] sent on September 14, 2016, which she acknowledged receiving:Dear Ms. [redacted]:I am in receipt of your letter dated September 8, 2016.In your note, you indicated that you sent an email and did not receive a reply. Your email was sent after midnight on Friday morning at 12:38 am. The next morning you called and spoke to [redacted] in our office, less than 12 hours after sending your email, most of the elapsed time between your email and call was during the overnight hours. While it is technically accurate that I did not respond to your email in the overnight hours, it is incorrect to characterize me or our organization as nonresponsive. To say that you have not heard from Ms. [redacted] “ever again” is not accurate, as you wrote your letter the same day in which you spoke with her. She told you that the other instructor was on her honeymoon, which you reference, and thus she would need to work with her to arrange her schedule upon her return. As you were talking with Ms. [redacted] and she was working to address your concerns, it appeared to be heading towards resolution. From your letter, it is clear that you continue to have concerns, which I will address below:Prior to the training session you sent the instructor six (6) separate email messages on August 26 with questions and direction for the class. Using this and several follow-up messages, Mr. [redacted] spent a significant amount of time reviewing your requested direction. He planned for the items you outline, much of which focused around integrating your [redacted] site with a [redacted] site. At your request, he evaluated and studied approaches to integrating a [redacted] blog and a [redacted] site, and by studying the [redacted] plug-in for [redacted] to provide a menu in [redacted] that reflected and linked to [redacted]. These are custom [redacted] items that were studied and evaluated by Mr. [redacted] exclusively for your benefit. He shared with you the approaches for integrating [redacted] and [redacted]. Customized [redacted] sites are complex to develop, and integrating with a third-party plug-in such as [redacted] is constrained by limitations created by the developer of the plug-in. These are not limitations imposed by our instructor. As Mr. [redacted] indicated to you in his email message on August 26, “I do have concerns about whether the site design ideas you have outlined can be fully achieved using an off-the-shelf theme in [redacted]. While virtually anything is possible in a custom theme, the development of a custom theme is well beyond what can be covered in a single day.” It is important to note that the integration you requested requires a full [redacted] site in addition to a [redacted] site. You may find this blog post to be quite helpful in explaining this: [redacted] Mr. [redacted] accurately indicated that you would need to point to a separate [redacted] site. This is also documented on the [redacted] site: [redacted]. From the second link (emphasis added), “…build two separate websites, one on each platform. Typically, [redacted], which is self-hosted (that means installed on a server rented by the photographer from a hosting provider), powers what I call the portfolio site: homepage, portfolio pages, all the blog content and most of the static pages (About, Contact, etc.). While [redacted], hosted on [redacted]’s own servers, powers the photo archives.” The quoted text is from [redacted]’s own blog.In your email message of September 2 you indicated frustration that the instructor indicated there was a need to leave at the end of the day. While the start time was arranged at 9:30 and the end time at 4:30, you arrived nearly 30 minutes beyond the appointed start time and Mr. [redacted] worked to accommodate your delayed arrival by remaining as late as his schedule allowed, past the scheduled end time of 4:30. Additionally, during the course of the time at our location and against the advice of Mr. [redacted], you spent part of the time purchasing web hosting and transferring the domain to a new hosting provider. After this process, you then redirected the domain name servers (DNS) to point back to your original site. This effort detracted from his ability to focus on [redacted] with you. These events were beyond our control and likely contributed to the frustration you express in your email and letter. Mr. [redacted] correctly indicates that learning to build and customize [redacted] is a complex process. An experienced web professional will typically enroll in both introductory and advanced training over the course of four days before building a site using only [redacted] standard functionality. If they are new to web development, they will also learn HTML, CSS, and PHP, taking several addition weeks of time. It appears from your letter that you are looking to fast-track this process, wanting to accomplish significantly more in an abbreviated timeframe. Your expectations from the initial email messages were unsettled and evolving. We attempted to solidify these to create a suitable plan for the day, and over the course of the day with Mr. [redacted], your expectations appeared to evolve further.Your letter also adds 1) at the end of the day you wished to install a specific theme, and you appeared surprised that Mr. [redacted] had not purchased a specific theme. There are more than 10,000 [redacted] themes. No consultant or instructor will know all of them. Changing themes is something that would not likely be a priority in any training or setup situation, as structuring the site and data are the underpinnings of any site. The theme can be applied after the site content and structure are established. There is nothing unusual about not spending time on the topic of theming if time was instead spent on other topics; 2) Your second numbered point (paragraph six of your letter) starts with an incomplete sentence that I cannot understand. Mr. [redacted] did not direct the changing of your web hosting provider, and discouraged you from making changes during your time together. This process requires planning and can be time consuming, which is why he suggested not doing it at that time. In this same paragraph you reference Mr. [redacted] not knowing that you wanted your website address pointing to the [redacted] site, yet you sent Mr. [redacted] instructions for your integrating a [redacted] plug-in for [redacted] into a [redacted] site. Similarly, all references and documentation indicate the need to create a fully separate [redacted] site and also an independent [redacted] site. In summary, you requested our instructor to complete a significant amount of time reviewing and planning to assist you with a [redacted] integration. You then arrived late, stayed late, spent time during the sessions shifting your domain hosting and domain name server entries.  After having the instructor spend four hours of time reviewing your requests, studying your requested integration, then spending a full day with you, it is your desire to not pay for this service. As a parallel, if a client of your law firm requested the attorneys review the feasibility of an acquisition, or study the viability of a proposed tax strategy, it is my suspicion that the firm would request payment regardless of whether the client liked the outcome of the study or the complexity of the solution. In this case an expert with [redacted] – and web publishing in general – has reviewed your proposed integration, spent the day with you – and he rightfully deserves to expect the agreed upon compensation. In the case of Mr. [redacted], you requested him to review materials, prepare, and spend time with you. I understand that you did not like the outcome, but it appears that you may not fully understand that you will need to have two websites (as described on the links provided above), including a fully functioning [redacted] site to achieve the results desired. A [redacted] website will not be fully set-up and themed within a single day. We can share with you the skills needed to build the [redacted] component. If you wish to go forward with this integration, you will need a fully functional [redacted] site. We will extend to you a $200 credit towards an introductory [redacted] course should you wish to continue to pursue this as your website platform. As it appears that you were unprepared for all that is involved with establishing a [redacted] site, this will help to provide you with the foundation skills needed for creating the separate [redacted] site. Mr. [redacted] does teach many of these courses – and has consistently positive reviews from students in these classes. The class does follow a set curriculum, and as such is only focused on the standard [redacted] functionality.Sincerely,[redacted]

I have spoken with the instructor extensively about this situation, and he has a markedly different perspective regarding the day. Despite this, there are a few facts that apparently we both agree: Ms. [redacted] communicated with the instructor in advance of her session, which she acknowledges. She spent a full day with the instructor / consultant for a private session, which she also acknowledges. She spent a portion of this time on the phone with a third-party to make configuration changes to her web server, which is nothing we control. Ms. [redacted] waited until after spending a full day with the instructor to inform us that she was not pleased with the outcome. She spent a full day with an instructor, and has been billed the agreed-upon rate for this time. With the above facts in mind, she disputes the preparedness of the instructor. As he teaches these topics for a profession and writes books published globally by a respected textbook publisher, I disagree with any assertion that he is not capable. As he communicated with her in advance, we stand behind his preparations for this specific session with Ms. [redacted]. Ms. [redacted] could have cancelled this before the session if she was not prepared or had reservations. She could have cancelled this part-way through the session if she expressed concern about the instructor. But she waited until after spending a full day with the instructor / consultant. Ms. [redacted] then follows-up by belittling a highly professional instructor who has hundreds of positive reviews for his courses with us. She belittles the replacement instructor offered by our staff asserting that there was no honeymoon. I have seen the pictures, there really was a wedding and honeymoon for this other instructor. Ms. [redacted] belittles our organization that is focused entirely on trying to help people learn new skills. Our staff have written more than 50 books, we have more than 1 million books in print. We deliver training to thousands each year and have delivered training to more than 70,000 individuals. In more than two decades we have never received such an inflammatory and demanding set of comments regarding any work we deliver. We attempted to assist her in-person, have attempted to help her by providing a road-map for what she will need to know, and offered her discounted options for learning the skills needed to achieve her objectives. She has responded to these overtures with insulting comments. We wish her success in her ventures, but are not inclined to assist anyone who makes such inflammatory and incendiary comments regarding our organization or staff.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted].   am sending this email to amend the amount of the refund requested from this company.  The amount was originally $895.00  I was just informed by the credit card company that they have credited me $240.00 of this charge.  This changes the refund amount to $655.00.  I was going to let this go, and consider the $655.00 as a loss because this owner seems a little off to me.However, I just read the owner's response and now I am convinced that there is something wrong.  As a result, and for the sake of potential consumers, I can't let this go.  This is tiresome and I won't go through his response.  I will only say this.  I never said that someone wasn't on their honeymoon. I waited a week for them to respond and give me a time frame as to when this person would be available.  When they did not, I asked for a refund because I feared I wouldn't hear from them again. There are some issues going on here.  I just don't understand his responses.Regards,
[redacted]
