I purchased a used car from a reputable dealer in Washington state and thought since it was a fairly new car that I would purchase an extended warranty from AGWS called the compass protection planI purchased the highest caliber paying over $extra just in case something went wrong in the first year or so of ownershipWell lo and behold after a few months the sun roof ended up getting stuck in the open positionI contacted the warrant company as directed but they decided that this was going to considered an "adjustment" not a repair and therefore would not be coveredConsidering I live in Washington I obviously could not leave the sunroof stuck openI took it to a local mechanic where they found that a screw from the mechanism had gotten loose and jammed in the track preventing the sunroof from closingThe mechanic called the warrant company directly to explain the situation to no availI then contacted the dealer who stated that one if their warranty reps would call the warranty companyLong story short the warranty company agreed to pay for half of the repairNow, six weeks later, still no payment to the repair place and no help from the customer service reps with the warranty companyIn fact, in all the CSR I've dealt with AGWS have been downright rudeIf I had to do it over again I would never purchase ANY warranty from this company They say that their warranty covers things but when you go to start a claim they word it in a way where they don't have to pay a dimeIt's not even bait and switch but plain thieverySomeone needs to investigate this company and their dealings
Purchased a month warrenty for my motorhome for $4,Experienced a covered breakdown along the way to Florida We had road service repair the problem and sent in the bills along with photos and invoices for partsThe photos showed the engine pieces apart on the ground, the service truck with the name of the company, the new parts that were being installedThe repair was a faulty engine water pump on a diesel pusherTotally covered but Because we did not get prior approval it was rejectedNot even an attempt to try to settle it Flat out rejectedNo consideration at all for the consumer in our time of need
I had this warranty from Feb until Oct I had the silver planI was told that this plan covered everything except the keys (if I lost them) and regular maintenanceI had multiple problems with my car, and none were covered by this warranty This was extremely frustrating after paying an extra $per month for the duration of my car loanThe point of this was to avoid costly repairs on a foreign car, well I paid the additional per month for this and expensive repairs often Besides that I would call their customer service and the people who I talked to were rude and when I needed someone to call back they never returned my numerous calls
