Review: Patio bricks that were installed by American Hardscapes are sinking and need to be fixed I have AH numerous times receiving resulting in no answers. All but once got answer machine and no one calls back. I would not recommend them to anyone.Desired Settlement: Come to my home and fix the problem.

Review: In February 2015, I renewed a contract for basic system water maintenance, pre-paid $150.00, and they cashed my check on March 3, 2015. When they didn't show up in April-early May (it was a heat wave and all of my neighbors who use different companies were turned on), I called and they said they were behind, fixing systems that were damaged over the previous harsh winter. I was assured that I was on their schedule, and they would come soon. Another week went by with my grass dying and I called again, and this time was told they would be out in a week or so. Another week went by and with my grass dying my neighbor helped me turn on the system. I believe this was in early May. I called AH the next day and told them I wanted to cancel, that I turned the water on myself, and I wanted a refund of my $150. I have called over and over again, they keep putting me off (they will leave a message for "him") or do not call back. They claim they will leave whoever is in charge a message. Now they are claiming they were here in May to turn it on, and saw that it was already turned on. I am home most of every day - no one was here that I saw, no one called to say they were coming, and no one left any message or receipt saying they were here. I believe they are making this up, lying, where is their proof and as I stated, I had called them to tell them I turned it on myself. I have called again, twice in September, and they do not return calls or respond.Desired Settlement: I want a refund of the $150 because they did not perform the service and I cancelled.

Review: American Hardscapes completed our patio and pergola last fall. Early this May, I noticed minor repairs were needed and called their office in Rehoboth, DE repeatedly. I was told by the office staff that they would have someone contact me. After a few weeks, I called back and the office staff told me someone would be contacting me shortly. I received a call from an employee who told me he understood what was needed, but couldn't schedule the work as they were behind due to the weather on many projects. He said to call back in two weeks. When I did, I was told I needed to speak with the owner, [redacted]. Repeated calls to [redacted] were not returned over several weeks. Finally, the original sales person, Jaime Mault, visited our home and confirmed the needed repairs. He told us it would be a few weeks before he could get to us, but be patient/ I followed up in two weeks and was told by Jaime that he would have someone do the repairs in 1-2 weeks when they are in my neighborhood. This time passed and no repair work has been done. Again, I called several times and left voice mail messages with Jaime Mault. I received no response at all. It's been three months since my original call and still, AH has not scheduled the work nor followed up with me. Hence, I am filing this complaint. here's the issue: AH promises to repair any issues with our patio, but never schedules the work nor responds to our phone requests indicating when the work will be done. The work is relatively minor. It includes the following:1. Repair a loose stone in the seating wall2. Place polysand in empty spots between the patio stone 3. Tighten the gaps in the pergola support beams and repair cracks in woodAll of this is something that I think can be done in less than 2 hours. Thanks for your assistance in getting a commitment from American Hardscapes. [redacted]Desired Settlement: I want the repair work completed. If they offer to pay someone else to do it, that's fine.

Review: American Hardscapes graded the backyard of our newly constructed house and did a horrible job! They failed to correct a huge low spot which collects water every time it rains. The water stands in the area for more than 3 days sometimes. The spot has now attracted geese which wander into the yard and sit by that area all day and now the geese are defecating all over the backyard which I believe can be considered a heath issue. American Hardscapes has been contacted several times on this issue but still nothing has been done! We finally had a representative from this company come out and look at our yard and agreed that it needed to be re- done!!!!!! That was almost 2 months ago and still nothing!! Furthermore, there is a crack in one of our irrigation valves that has been leaking, that still has to be fixed!! Also, the company we hired to cut our grass has a difficult time mowing around that area when there is standing water, we paid good money for their services and our lawn doesn't look as good as it should because of it!!!Desired Settlement: It's simple, just come out and fix the lawn!
