We have had trouble with the house they built for us almost since day one They changed the plans without telling us but asked for our initials They used sub materials, and our power goes of about every other week because they used amp rather than at least amps, according to plans there should be more outlets in the garage Our house could have caught fire due to this, the covers have melted and we were lucky to discover it before a fire There are so many mistakes where they put different ceilings, for one thing, fireplace is wrong....on and on They cheated us $for over a year because they didn't give us credit for our down payment When it rains water pools on our front patioWe could list problems for hours

Steve and Maurine Clark: Our experience working with American Heritage Homes We chose American Heritage Homes as our builder because of the detail and quality they put into their homes and their willingness to put enough information on their website for us to find out about the company and what kind of quality they put into their homesThis allowed us to make the best decision for a builder on our home projectOur experience with American Heritage Homes was a smooth, happy and exciting time for usWe made it a joint project with themSeth, Shem and all of the staff we worked with were excellentWe very much appreciated the advice we received from all of the subcontractors we worked withWe found them to be knowledgeable and were very helpful to us in making the many decisions needed to select the finishes and materials to include in our homeWe appreciated the help Seth gave us in looking over the plans for the house and making suggestions for changes that would avoid construction problems and improve the flow of the designWe also appreciate his help in working with our plan designer to get the plans completed The plan we used was not one of American Heritage’s standard floorplans but Seth and the staff were very willing to work with a plan we brought to themWe began working with American Heritage Homes as soon as we purchased the building lot in February of Seth let us know that all he needed to start planning the actual build was six weeks noticeIn February of when we attended the StGeorge Parade of Homes, we informed Seth that our house in California was on the market and that we would be moving to Utah in mid-April and be ready to start construction We moved to Utah April 15, and construction was begun on April 21stThe project ran very smooth with only a few minor issuesWe found that they were very responsive to problems and corrected them quickly We included some special items in the build that we informed Seth about at the beginning of the project which included wiring for internet, cable TV, amateur radio equipment and a whole house backup generatorAll of the items were installed by the subcontractors and their cooperation was excellentThe home was completed in the third week of August which was only one week later than their estimate of four and one-half monthsIn essence, the house was completed on time and on budgetAny items that were over the allowed budget were a result of us choosing more costly materialsOur thanks go out to American Heritage Homes, and all of their subcontractors and suppliersThanks for a great job and a job well done!!

AHH built our home in The design and workmanship has met all of our expectations of what we wanted in our houseSeth and Shem were always able to guide us as to what was our best option by design and costAs most people, we were on a budget and with their help was able to stay within that budget and get the house we wantedLike any new house, their was things that needed to be adjusted, changed or modified We only needed to call and the issued was promptly remediedWe would not hesitate to have them build another house for us*** and ***

American Heritage Homes built our home starting in December and finishing in March I spent a good share of my life as a contractor building homes in northern Utah When we decided to move to southern Utah to retire, I was no longer working in that line of work I spent some time here looking at potential contractors, speaking with new homeowners, and sub contractors, and settled on American HeritageMy experience with them was a very positive one They were pleasant to work with and were
fair and honest to deal with I was very pleased with the quality of the workmanship that went into our home and their flexibility in design changes that I wanted to make with the model that we selectedLike any project of this size, a few mistakes were made but they were prompt to make the corrections needed without additional costs to me The home was completed on time and for the price that I was quoted in the beginningPlease understand that home construction is a difficult business and I am a little OCD so when I give my recommendation, it is because I feel that they deserved it for a job well done I have recommended them to several of our friends who have built in the areaIn my many years building homes, I had a handful of clients who were almost impossible to pleaseI don’t think a review from them would have been a fair measure of the quality of my work I hope that you will find that the vast majority of American Heritage Home owners had an experience similar to mine I happy to recommend them for your considerationSincerely,

We liked what we saw of American Heritage Homes and had them build one for us They promised a completion date of three months It was finished early! Unbelievable We are now enjoying our comfortable, stylish home, and are constantly pleased with the quality and stability Any questions or problems that arise are quickly and satisfactorily dealt with Our home is fairly modest, but we have seen and admire the larger, more modern homes in our area that American Heritage has built So whatever your preference, AHH has your answer

We contracted with American Heritage Homes to construct a home for us At White Sage Lot#**---Desert Shrub Dr Washington, Utah in early In talking with the Owner, Seth F*, he assured us that he used only the finest craftsmen to build the home
During the Final walk through, we were given a list of the sub-contractors and told that if we had any problems, we were to contract the sub-contractors That struck me as strange, as WE did not hire the sub-contractors to build our home, we hired American Heritage Homes The Major problem was with the Italian Tile floor that was laid throughout a large part of the home It had High edges as it was laid from tile to tile When walking on the tile floor, you could feel the difference in the tile edge height between the tiles When cleaning the floor, it created an edge that would stop the dirt like the thick edge of a dust pan When the sun shines on the floor, at an angle, it creates shadow from one tile to the nex

Terrible home builders, don’t pay attention to details

This is the 3rd home we have built and working with American Heritage Homes has been a fabulous experience We were not going to build because of a very tight time line but not only did they meet our goals, they exceeded them! When I tell people that our home, including the yard, block wall and a pool was completed in months from the time the permit was pulled they are shocked The quality is excellent, and any concerns have been dealt with promptly Working with their team took much of the stress out of the process, everyone works together and communicates well which is really helpful when you are over miles away from your project It is difficult to find people with their integrity and we HIGHLY RECOMMEND them to ALL

American Heritage (Shem & Jon) were fabulous to work with We contracted with American Heritage to build our swimming pool in late August of They committed to have our pool completed by Thanksgiving so that we could use it when our family came for the holiday Even though it was a tight window, they kept to their word and had our pool pretty much completed by early November, and we were swimming in it by Thanksgiving The real testament to their integrity, trust, accountability and excellence came after we made the final payment in November More often than not, as soon as a contractor is paid it gets very difficult to get them back out to fix any issues That was NOT the case with American Heritage As we were getting ready to use the pool for the first time, we noticed staining on the plaster and the light wasn't working We contacted Jon (the project manager for our project) and he took the ball and made sure the issues were resolved As of this review, we have just one remaining equipment issue but I have no doubt that it will be fixed soon I would definitely use American Heritage again for any construction project, and I would highly recommend them to anyone else looking for a home and/or pool contractor

Wow reading these few negative reviews makes my head spin since our experience was exactly the oppositeWe are not your "average" homeownersWe actually know a lot about the industry since my husband is a General Contractor and I am a Real Estate BrokerI've spent my 20+ years of my career specializing in new constructionOur commercial construction company is in Northern Utah so when we decided to build a second home in "Southern" Utah, we interviewed many buildersFeeling good about our interaction with American Heritage Homes, and comfortable with the price, options and terms we signed a contract to have them build our homeOur experience was as perfect as possibleAny issues we had were resolved quickly and fairlyEnough that when we sold that home to build a larger more custom home we once again hired them to build our retirement homeThey worked with us through many design changes and custom featuresThe sub-contractors were easy to work with and very professionalWe have called on many of them when we have needed maintenance and they have treated us very wellWe have referred AHH to many neighbors as well as close relativesThey also love their homes and have had positive experiencesWe highly recommend American Heritage Homes and their owners Seth and Shem F*I honestly would use them time and time again

We built with American Heritage about a year ago in Hurricane, UtahThey were absolutely amazing to work with! We live hours from where we were building so to keep a close eye on our new home was hard (it’s our vacation home)But, they kept us informed, answered every call and were great with any questions or changes we made To this day, they are still responsive to all of our calls if we have questionsWe absolutely love our home! We couldn’t be happier with the quality! We would recommend American Heritage to anyone building in that area

American Heritage Homes is a substandard home building entity these two brothers put way more effort into their website and publicity than actually supervising home construction...especially by their sub-contractors They routinely cut corners to save a buck, but do NOT pass that onto the home buyerThey built my home without constructing any duct work for the range hood Compelled them to do this after the fact, and they're effort was laughable they did not complete the duct work to the cheap range fan to the ductwork plumbed to the outside When they constructed a home next door The finished product again, is a custom hood, over a gas range, with ZERO duct work The fan will suck smoke etc up into a cavity behind the hood How this passes inspection is a mystery Would never use this business for home construction again And will actively discourage those looking at homes nearby to - "Buyer Beware"
