I had purchased a used sofa and t v and my contract said 12-15 months and I paid my last payment in October 2018 and before that they been harassing and making threats over the phone one of the guys from the store call from his cellphone making threats and coming to my home treating me and cursing me scaring my kids while they are in the home than they switched my lights off trying to get in my home and the lady manager allowed all this to go on and she just laughed about and still has them harassing me I don't feel safe in my home

Desired Outcome

No further contact by the busi I want to sue them cause by them turning my power off I lost food and my kids scared they don't feel safe and get her and the guys fired

The customer signed 2 lease purchase contracts with American Home in Macon, GA. on October 14th, 2017, with one being an 18 month contract on a living room set and the other a 17 month contract on a 50" TV. The customer stopped paying on both contracts and owes American Home from November 15th when the contracts expired for a total of $511.89 in lease payments owed at this time. We made numerous attempts to get in contact with the customer from 11-15 to 12-28 when she called us and stated she would be in to pay on January 4th in the amount of $341.46. She broke that commitment and made another commitment on January 9th to pay on January 12th and she broke that commitment also. We stated that if she made the $341.46 payment we would extend her account for the shortage to get her caught up in lieu of her paying the $511.89. Our account managers visited her house several times to make contact and would knock and leave a notice. Our associates never made threatening comments through the door as they did not know she was home as no one came to the door. They did not go around back of the apartment complex and turn off the power. We only want the customer to make the payments that she agreed to in the contract she signed or return the product as this is a lease with no obligation beyond the month to month term. We have not heard from the customer since she missed her last commitment. Under Ga. law the customer must make a renewal payment, return the product or purchase the product on each due date as those are thier options. There is no obligation as this is a lease and the product can be returned at any time with no penalties. The product cannot be kept and not paid for as payments must be made on or before the due date. We have tried to assist this customer by accepting less money due and giving the customer a deferral to no avail. The customer is now over two months in arears. Never was there any unprofessionalism on our part as we are only trying to make contact to resolve the issue and avoid any further legal action afforded to us under the Ga. Lease Purchase Statute.

Them coming to someone else home making threats and shutting down some one else power and damage food and making treats and are recorded as they've harassed other people on the phone like it was there furniture I'm calling on personal cell phone numbers making threats

American Home is here to help this customer. We are more than willing to assist the customer with thier payment issues. The customer will not respond to any offers of assistance. The customer will not respond to any communications.
Nothing the customer has written is accurate or factual. However, we are here to provide the best service possible regardless of the inaccurate information. We have the customers signed contracts and have provided such to the customer to show them how many payments they are behind and how many more payments are needed to acquire ownership. We have also covered our no obligation return policy in our contract with the customer. They can always return if they cannot pay and come back to get thier product when ready with no loss of payments made, they would start where they left off with no penalty. This is all in the contract provided to the customer and explained to the customer. With the customer not communicating in any fashion we are unable to resolve. I have reached out to the customer on several occasions personally to resolve with no response. The customer is simply refusing to pay and refusing to return the rented items.
