American Home Shield

Terrible home owners insurance company with atrocious customer service. Specifically in the retention department! Paulina in retention is impolite, crass and unpleasant. Paulina told me that I "NEVER called to cancel my account". I have documentation that I called and canceled from my phone records. She raised her voice with me, she told me that "the other associate I spoke to in retention could not cancel my account, she didn't have the authority to do that". How is it that another associate, who has the same job as Paulina and told me over the phone on 5/20/20 that my account in fact would be canceled, not have the authority to cancel my account? Paulina needs training on how to speak to PAYING customers!

If you want to pay for that kind of service by all means use American Home Shield.

I have called three times this summer regarding air conditioner. All three times I was given a differnt answer to my problem. 2nd time company charged almost 400.00 for problem. 3rd time the are charging 1087.00 for problem. Each time they come out it 75.00. they will not cover full cost. what 1st review is saying is true. Authorization Desk is very rude and only tell you its in your contract.

If you need regular home repairs, such as quick fixes on appliances, they are 5 stars and I never had a problem with them. But!!!! If you need to replace an appliance or especially your heating and air, your out of luck. They will answer your call promptly, but will not resolve your issue. The only thing they will do is transfer you to their service center and you can expect to wait on hold for at least four hours.
