I'm sorry I have been out of town for more than a month and was unable to respond in a timely mannerThey are correct in saying the chair was heavily damaged! Please refer to tmy original letter where I took my lbson into the store to show them why I needed a heavy duty chairThey assured us the chair was very heavy duty and would be fine for himHe was no moving around in a the chair only leaned back, when the whole back broke almost throwing him to the floorThe store did not have another chair anywhere near our price range and he needed a chair immediatly since that was all he had to sit onKnowing that, the store offered me a credit for a that amount for "anything I wanted" in the storeThey know they did not have a chair that was even near or price range! They also have never even mentioned the fact that they sold an insurance policy that did not cover the upholstery on that chair$that is till drawing interest and penalties!! And it is not true they offered me any discount on another chairThey never made any effort to work with me on another chair or offered to refund me the cost of the insurance policy! They have the poorest customer relations of any retail store I have ever walked into[redacted]

Ms [redacted] had purchased a chair for her son on 11/10/ In March of Ms [redacted] wanted to return the chair Because the chair had been damaged, American agreed to return the chair for an in-store credit The in-store credit has not been used and today we have issued the credit of $to her account

Thank you for bringing this to our attention We strive to ensure our customers are satisfied We have ordered the replacement part and will repair the product If our customer is not satisfied with the repair we will give a full replacement

We regret we have been unable to come to an agreement with our customer The chair was heavily damaged beyond what the warranties covered We offered the customer a full credit for the value of the chair to use toward the purchase of a chair rated for more weight We also offered a
heavily discounted price to get the retail closer to what the customer said she could afford At this time we cannot offer her more

We have contacted and reviewed the complaint with our guest and determined we had not sufficiently covered the product use in direct sunlight with them We have agreed to exchange the furniture and look forward to continuing to serve them

We apologize to Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] for the misunderstanding and inconvenience.  Our Director of Stores, [redacted], contacted Mr. [redacted] to rectify the situation.  Delivery of his furniture was arranged before Christmas Day. We thank the [redacted]s for bringing this to our attention and...

Ms. [redacted] had purchased a chair for her son on 11/10/13.  In March of 2014 Ms. [redacted] wanted to return the chair.  Because the chair had been damaged, American agreed to return the chair for an in-store credit.  The in-store credit has not been used and today we have issued the credit of $577.69 to her account.

He was no moving around in a the chair only leaned back, when the whole back broke almost throwing him to the floor. The store did not have another chair anywhere near our price range and he needed a chair immediatly since that was all he had to sit on. Knowing that, the store offered me a credit for a that amount for "anything I wanted" in the store. They know they did not have a chair that was even near or price range! They also have never even mentioned the fact that they sold an insurance policy that did not cover the upholstery on that chair. $80.00 that is till drawing interest and penalties!! And it is not true they offered me any discount on another chair. They never made any effort to work with me on another chair or offered to refund me the cost of the insurance policy! We have apologized to our customer for the confusion regarding her store credit.  Our sales manager has worked out her store credit and applied it properly to her purchase.  She also extended a gift card for the inconvenience and has followed up on her delivery.Thank you.
