American In-Home Care, LLC

Under the contract of the company Whitsyms Nursing Service which is owned by American In-Home Care, LLC., my father was owed a deposit for their services that were rendered before his passing ($1312.50, to be exact)Instead of making a check for the executor of his estate, which is my mother, they said policy prohibits that because the funds came from his account and because all bank accounts bearing his name were closed out (which happens when someone passes) the check will have to made out to his estateAfter a few conversations it seems to be no middle groundWe did our part, as a family, made sure the Estate was taken care of so we didn't need to have an Estate Bank Account to handle anythingMy mother has the death certificate and various other legal paperwork that proves shes the estates executor, which was explained to themThe cost of setting up that bank account, with a lawyer, would cost way more than the amount of that checkNow that we can not cash that check they get to keep those fundsIt's almost as if you needed to project someone's passing before you an receive those funds backAt the end of the day they are going to get keep the deposit, because the check can't be deposited and it's just out right wrong as a practice to let that happenedI don't really expect to get much back but more of the sameI just wanted to shed some light on my family's personal experienceI do hope people have a better experience with them

I had an assisted living person who was with my mother for over yearsI thought everything was ok until I had cameras installed for my mother's protection at night while she was aloneTo my surprise after viewing the cameras during the day, I found that my mother was being neglected, the aide was over billing her hours by coming late and leaving earlyI found the aide sleeping during the day while my mother was unattended and asleep at the kitchen tableComing into the house in the morning and sitting down to eat and never checking on my motherMy mother is and has a walker but right after dinner would be sent to bed by herself and sometimes would not even be checked before the aide left which was usually earlier than she was billing forThe aide was also never trained to deal with Dementia or Alzheimer conditionsShe once called me and said my mother made her cry, which is totally ridiculousI was overcharged for hours in a month and a half and can't imagine how much time I over paid in over yearsI could go on and on but you get the pictureI would not recommend this agency as this person was obviously not trained correctlyI now have a new agency and couldn't be any more satisfied with the new people and the care my mother is getting
