Dear Ms [redacted] :The purpose of this letter is to provide you with a response to the above-referenced complaint which was forwarded to Rabobank, N.A(“Rabobank”) from the Revdex.com (Revdex.com) on January 6, With a commitment to maintaining the highest levels of customer service and consumer protection, Rabobank welcomes the opportunity to receive communications from its customers, and it appreciates the role of the Revdex.com in facilitating this communication.In your complaint you express frustration and concern about the processing communications you received from Rabobank after a recent on-line depositYou indicated that you made a deposit on December 15th 2016, for five hundred, ninety-four dollars and ninety-six cents ($594.96) using the On-line Deposit Application, after which you received an email stating, in part, that "...your deposit has been approved and processed.” You indicate that after that, on December 19", a twelve dollar ($12.00) returned check fee was posted to your accountThis returned check fee was assessed because the check that was deposited on December 15th was returnedBoth in this complaint, and earlier at Rabobank’s Arroyo Grande Branch location, you have expressed concern that this returned check fee should not be assessed to you because you had earlier received the email confirmation stating that the deposit had been approved and processed, and have requested that it be reversed.As it does with all complaints that it receives, upon receipt of your complaint, Rabobank personnel review your account and detail and information related to the online deposit in questionHaving reviewed the account thoroughly, Rabobank confirms that the deposited was in fact returned, which was the basis for the fee assessmentIt was not Rabobank's unilateral decision to return the check, it was returned because Rabobank was unable to receive fundsNevertheless, although the returned check fee assessment appears to be proper, and in accordance with the terms and conditions of your account agreement, in the interests of customer service and as a one-time courtesy, Rabobank has reversed the twelve dollar ($12.00) fee assessed to your checking accountThank you for your patience with this issue and we appreciate your businessPlease feel free to contact Rabobank directly should you have questions or need additional information.Sincerely,C [redacted] ***Deputy Compliance Officer
