Mortgage company debited almost $from my checking acct without my approval When I reversed the debit, they charged me a $fee PHH Mortgage provided me with a loan to purchase my home in I pay my monthly mortgage via ACH Debit and the amount is debited from my checking account In February, PHH debited an extra $from my checking account without my consent (There was apparently a $shortfall in my escrow account to pay taxes and insurance.) I did not know they were going to do this and I did not have an extra $in my checking account This extra charge was going to cause all my other checks to bounce I called my bank and told them to reverse the entire charge I then went on the PHH website and made my monthly payment on a one-time basis, and I added an extra $to put toward the shortfall in the escrow account I then spoke with several customer service representatives from PHH to try and fix the situation They were unable to figur

I sent final amount of mortgage They put it in a suspended acct instead of crediting my acct After I realized what they had done I got them to credit the acct In the meantime they charged me cent in interest fees and charged me months of late fees and reported this to he credit bureaus I had no way of knowing I had abalance of this penny that they overcharged me for because the monthly statement did not include my unit number I complained to the company twice and was told the manager would look into it and call me back I never heard from anyone
