When American Leak Detection is hired to perform leak detection on spas, the entire spa is tested for leaksALD test all of the plumbing from the spa to the equipment and back againWe test the integrity of the skimmer and dye test the structureThe skimmer was tested on the July visit and the skimmer throat was negative for water loss at that timeA leak on a spa jet was located at this visit, Please see invoice On August 25, ALD was hired to repair the leaking spa jetALD attempted to repair the leaking spa jet on September ,Due to the leak being in the bond beam (structure wall of the spa), ALD capped off this line and abandoned the spa jetThe alternative for this repair would be to have demo’d the spa structure and bond beamA more cost effective approach is to abandon the jetThe customer agreed to go with the capping of the lineOnce the line was capped, a pressure test was done on the rest of the line to make sure our repair was solid and that there were no additional leaks on this linePlease see invoice On our return visit, October 3, 2014, ALD re-tested our repair from September , 2014, the repair was solid and not leakingThe technician re-tested the skimmer and at this time, the skimmer tested positive for water loss via cracks on the side of the skimmerALD recommended the skimmer to be replacedSee invoice When the customer called to schedule a new leak detection on March , 2015, he advised our office that they had repairs made to the skimmerHe stated the spa started losing water again, and not sure when it started leaking and was unsure of exactly how much water it was losingThe customer agreed and understood the testing process and agreed to the new leak detection and its cost, due to months passing of the original leak detection and the leak detection being out of warrantyLeaks can happen at any time, which is why our leak detection has a day warrantyWhen out on March 12, 2015, the spa suction, return and jet plumbing lines were tested and were negative for leaksALD located a bubbler system on the bottom of the spa that is not in use and is not able to be testedIt was recommended that the bubbler line be sealedALD discounted the leak detection by 50% and the customer refused to pay for the service and demanded we seal the bubbler line for him at no chargeSee invoice This office has been operating for the last years and is very reputable as we service pool service companies, all insurance companies, homeowners, pool builders, other businesses, landscape companies, etcWe do not fake" our leak detectionsThis customer wants free Services and doesn't want to be required to stay within his warranty period like all of our other customers doRegards, [redacted] Office Manager

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below This car belongs to my daughter and it has been parked for over two weeksI picked her up from the airport yesterday and she took it to a repair place this morningThe repair place said it was actually the valve stem that was broken, not the sensorSo I believe the Abbott Motor people put too much air in the driver front tire and broke the valve stem on purposeI do not want me or my family to be retaliated against however by the owner any more than they already have Regards, [redacted]

Customer purchased vehicle 12/17/with 98,miles that was accompanied by NYS Lemon Law Warranty Customer complaint indicates they brought vehicle to a Certified Mechanic (not Abbott Motors) However our records show the vehicle was never scheduled for service nor brought back to our service department for any concern after the sale Also we have never received any written documents from any other repair facility regarding any concerns at all The only communication is that of the customer harassing one of our employees via txt message, as well as stating "I am going to spend the rest of my life trying to ruin your business" and "gonna tell everyone I know that u r crooks" that was sent via text messaging on March 28th, April 12th & April 15th of A return text was sent asking them who this was and to contact our service department There was never a response back but the source was discovered through our phone records Since these statements, our attorney has been notified of these actions against our reputation and employee Until now, this customer has never contacted our dealership and we feel there is no valid reason for this action regarding their concerns

We were called to [redacted] residence at [redacted] ** back in November of to look at a roof leak From the ground we could determine that the existing roof repair was done incorrectly The plywood was nailed over top of the existing shingles and finish shingles were installed on the new plywood We also were able to see that the stack was installed in the valley We then went in the house to take a look at the roof since the kitchen ceiling had fallen from water damage We then discovered that there where no step flashings on the wall attached to the roofAnd that several more sheets of ply wood would need to be replaced We also discussed relocating the stack and repairing the damaged rafters and wall repair [redacted] at this point told us that he would prefer to leave the stack in its current location and he would make the repairs underneath when he made an insurance claim for the damages created by the water damage created by the roofWe provided [redacted] with a proposal to repair the plywood, ice guard and shingle the affected are and valleys Prior to signing this proposal to proceed with the work we once again discussed the stack in the valley Once again we were told to leave it alone and just fix the shingles and plywood I also let him know that we would do the best we could with the stack but we could not guarantee it not to leakWhen my crew arrived to make repairs to [redacted] roof, they once again discussed moving the stack and they were once again told to leave it alone We made the repairs as required We ice guarded the front, back and upper roof and re-shingled the area While making repairs, we discovered the wall was damaged and severely rotted We were told that it could wait for the insurance company to repair the damagesAbout a month later [redacted] contacted us concerning a minor leak in the repaired area We went out to investigate immediately We caulked around the stack and re-adjusted an existing gutter to divert water as much as possible Once again we told [redacted] that it’s the stack creating the issue and we need to move it Once again he refused and said that it’s not the stack leakingSince that meeting [redacted] as contacted us several times I have on several occasions discussed this stack issue with him I told him I cannot keep running out to repair this valley unless the stack is re-located His last phone call we tried to return for almost two weeks He would call our office an AM or after hours When we tried to return his call all we would get is his voice mail If I was looking to contact a company I would call during business hours Nonetheless, we would be happy too work with [redacted] once we has the stack moved out of the valley and we can seal it properly We can also do it for him should he be unable to locate anyone else

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below they lied on application nothing about that they lied about what my wife makes a year and what she pays for rent they are a horrible businessplus they harrassed my wife on christmas eve to sign papers they forgot to have her sign and they threatened to take back the dealdid not send them texts do they have proof? The American Leak Detection of New Mexico LLC Manager called the customer to set an appointment to investigate her problems She refused to speak with him American Leak Detection is still interested in meeting with the customer to resolve her issues

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:The reason of hiring AMERICAN LEAK DETECTING was to find where there is leak at the house and no other reason.the reason that [redacted] visit my house times is simple1st visit, to find the leak2nd visit, to show him the big hole in my kitchen, but there is no leak under the marked area according to [redacted] 3rd visit, after being competley surprise that there was no leak at the marked spot, he checked again, and marked a new spot in the kitchen as the leak spot, the plumber dig again, second hole, but...no leak....and that's EXACLY why [redacted] had to stop by again.just to be clear, after detecting suppose the first leak, I asked [redacted] how much he charge to fix the leak, he told me and wrote on the paper $He advice that the house is old and it will be better to re pipe the whole house, and it will cost $5000.Of course, re pipe is much better solution , but it's also cost a lot of moneyI decided to fix the detected leak for the moment in order to avoid keep paying very high water bills, and later on to get more estimates for the re pipe. The respond of [redacted] is not relevant for the reason he came at the first timeHis job was to find the leak, and he messed it up twiceIt very nice to give a client advice that his motor in his car makes noises, and it will much better to just get brand new car, I think we all know that brand new is better than old and used, but let's not forget the money factor. Before and after, his job was just to find the source of the leak and all the rest is not his job or decision .The leaks spot that was marked by him twice was wrong, and even a person with many years of expireance can make mistakes , but at least to be honest enought to admit it and just to refund the money after allBy the way, I have no idea who is Stephens plumbing, I never hired them, and there was not any other plumbing company at my house beside [redacted] and the plumber that was suppose to fix the leak, so I have no idea where he got this information Regards, [redacted]

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below I have attached photos showing the water damage & cleanup of the water I did say that I would reroute the a/c condensate drain line into the washer drain line, but I NEVER touched it after that statement Therefore, I did not move the washer, and it was clearly the mistake of ALD Mistakes happen, and just because someone has worked for a company for years, doesn't mean that they NOR the other person with him could have made a mistake by not checking to see if everything was put back correctlyThe way the technicians left it was how the water got on the floor, and damaged the flooring.Regards, [redacted]

AMERICAN LEAK DETECTION: [redacted] Stone Complaint ID path="m,l,21600r21600,l21600,xe"> American Leak Detection received a call on our After Hours lines on 12/06/in regards to a leak detection that is a big crack) in the pool, beside the equipment is not working properlyPlease do a complete leak detection, mark the area and provide estimates for the repairsThe customer is advised that the pool has to be clean and full at the time of the inspection The customer lives in Virginia, there will be nobody at the time at the inspection so you will have free access to the house, but is you have any questions you can call [redacted] (Buyer of the house) at [redacted] Send a work proposal Quoted $CC is on fileMC [redacted] Exp [redacted] *** (FR) The detection appointment was set for 12/08/between 1-3pm Our technician arrived on site at 1:03pm and it took hour for the detection and he finished at 2:04pm There was pictures taken to document the service as the technician tested each area Our Pool technician tested all the above and below plumbing (Skimmer Lines, Suction lines & Return Lines) at PSI finding no loss of pressure indicating no leaks on that line The technician then moved on to perform a structural test where we use Dye through a hypodermic needles with florescent dye to find structure leaks The skimmer throat, structure of the pool and the previously patched area finding the areas did not suck in any dye indicating no leaks The technician went every further and ran the equipment which normally we usually only check the above/below plumbing and the structure of the pool/spa The technician continue to try to identify any problems and to make sure everything was tested, so he even ran the equipment: heater, jet pump, air blower and circulation pump which all were working proper at that timeThe following is the Result of the leak detection: [redacted] ($350) 12/08/POOL SPA DETECTION – Dan performed a leak detection on the pool and spaThe technician tested the plumbing at PSI, finding no plumbing leaks at this timeThe technician dye tested the skimmer, finding no leaksThe technician inspected the patched areas of the pool, finding nothing wrong with themThe technician ran the pool and spa equipment: heater, jet pump, air blower, and circulation pump, finding all of them to work(TN) [ [redacted] can be reached at [redacted] ] These results come with a guarantee behind them Our guarantee is to retest at anytime within days Leak detection is not an exact science so American Leak Detection gives a guarantee with all there work There is an expiration date with all of our guarantees stated on the invoice Our Technician [redacted] is a Senior Pool technician and has work for American Leak Detection for years (Start Date 2000) Our owner owns franchises since and he has over years experience which is mentioned because the complaint stated concerns about our experience level All Pool technician go through a year training program and after that 3rd years they get tested and if they pass, gets approved to become a technician The homeowner did contact our office at the end of February and at this point it was over days from the leak detection We are only following our rules and policies stated on every invoice as “Term and Guarantee” of the serviceThis policy has been in effect since and is explained on every call that every detection comes with a days guaranteeThe reason we can only guarantee detection for days is due to we are in a very seismic area with earth movements every day (maintenance issues, Wear and Tear, earthquakes near Southern California (1/28/15, 01/16/ & 02/08/15) and days is plenty of enough time to know if a pool detection or the service that was provided is accurate With the managers approval I am authorized to exceed the guarantee for additional days from the date of service We understand that people’s lives are very busy and we are not here to take advantage of customer only provide great service When we get a call over days from the date of the detection, unfortunately there is our company policy that I have to follow This is why we make sure our customers know this and it is stated on every invoice A email of the report with the results and guarantees for the service on 12/09/at 4:27pm with the same pictures attached to this letterThe homeowner acknowledged that he read the invoice report on 12/10/at 7:17am because he replied back to our email because he had some additional questions after reading the email At this time there is no way that the homeowner did not see or was not aware of our guarantee on 12/10/at 7:17amI do emphasize with the homeowners situation, but I can not go against my companies year policyOur guarantee is stated below and seems to be pretty self explanatory: Contractors are required by law to be licensed and regulated by the Contractor's State License Board Any questions concerning a contractor may be referred to the Registrar, [redacted] arrived promptly on Nov 4, and diagnosed our residential pool leak quicklyIn my opinion, he went above & beyond by not only repairing our existing leak, but by sealing a few similar areas that had the potential to become future leaksAll the while, he educated me by explaining his processI requested pool refinishing company recommendations and he readily obliged Dave returned on Nov 24, to repair some additional leaks, at no charge under their 30-day guaranteeThese were additional leaks and not ones he originally repairedVery prompt, thorough and courteous again!

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below I provided ALD a timeline of facts, and some aspects in the response are incorrect Eventually I was able speak with someone who was willing to look at the circumstances The same day I sent over some facts and support, I received a phone call where I was offered the $fee back, conditional upon me agreeing no further amounts are owed I could not agree to that since I have been damaged by ALD ALD's quality control supervisor explicitly stated that he was surprised that the leaks were missed by the technician I believe that's why he called me the same day to offer me a refund.I am not disputing ALD's warranty, the focus of this response My claim is the fact that the work was not performed correctly in the first place In fact, I have evidence the technician did not even test a part of the plumbing system to the pool And there is clear evidence the leaks had been there for a long time - they did not arise recently due to siesmic activity in the area The existing leaks should have been identified and communicated by ALD I was damaged because they did not perform the agreed upon service in a technically competent manner, and ALD issued a report to me (which was used and relied upon in negotiating with sellers of the home).Unfortunately it took over months for anyone to even attempt to discuss this with me after I left many messages Even the corporate office attempted to have someone call me Later I found out Charb stated he would take care of it, but yet he also never called me ALD's work was negligent and was not completed properly Since they have no interest in settling this with me, I have filed a small claims case Regards, [redacted] ***

Tell us why hereAs discussed in previous response, the homeowner did call us out to look at the rotten area in his roof directly over the kitchen The sheeting was destroyed and it was leaking profusely When we inspected the exterior we discovered that the stack was in the valley This is a big hazard because there is next to no way to seal it properly At this point we let the homeowner know that the stack needed to be relocated We showed up to make the repairs on the roof as agreed upon The stack was not relocated so we once again mentioned it to the homeowner We then proceeded to tear off the damaged area, replace the damaged sheeting and install ice guard and finished by installing new shingles and re-pitching the gutter As you can se by the pictures attached, it came out nicely You can also see the tremendous amount of damage that we repaired. When we were called back due to a small leak, we responded and inspected and determined that the leak was once again due to the stack in the valley We once again told the homeowner that it needs to relocated and that we would be happy to repair the area once it was done.We responded to each of his calls, he just didn’t like the response We will warranty the work, but not the stack per our discussionOnce again, We replaced all the rot, damaged framing and roofing materials We completed our project Once the homeowner completes the stack relocation, we will make the repairs to the area and all should be well

The customer did contact us with his concerns on 3/During the initial call, the homeowner confirmed that we located a leakHe had another contractor do the repair that our company had detected and during that time, the homeowner indicated, that the irrigation company repaired another leakThe customer indicated that since there was another leak that we did not locate during our initial visit, he should receive a refundIt was expressed to him during the initial call that, we did find a leak on the irrigation system, we dug up the area and took a photo of the leaking lineThus, confirming that there was a leak where we markedThe customer was informed that often, it is only possible to find one leak at a time until the first one is fixedWhen the customer was asked, why he didn’t call back immediately after the first repair, he said it was because his irrigation company just went ahead and did the repairsThe customer insisted on sending photos to show [redacted] where the leak was located, although, couldn’t produce a photo of the area exposed with a leaking pipeThe customer was instructed during the initial phone call that there likely wouldn’t be a refund due to us locating and exposing to confirm the leak on the initial visit and our company can’t confirm rather there was another leak or notThe customer sent the photos on 3/After reviewing them with the original technician, on 4/called the homeowner and explained that there would not be a refund due to the same explanation that was given to him during our original callFor a resolution, we will agree to satisfy the customer’s request and refund the homeowner in the amount of $The check should be received no later than 5/

In response to the complaint, we all agreed there wasn't a perfect color match and I said I would repaint it as a goodwill courtesy The vehicle is year years old and the new factory paint didn't match his old paint exactly due to age and fade We have since tinted the factory color repainted the repaired areas by tinting the factory color to match the old paint as best as possible at no charge as goodwillThe fenders were pushed in at the bottoms from someone kicking off ice chunks leftover from the snow/icy road conditionsWe also repaired that at no charge to the customer and advised him of the causeThe customer also stated he wanted his engine light repaired The vehicle was put through a systems diagnostic There were stored codes in system that led to the osensor bank sensor not functioning After installing the new sensor the codes were cleared and the car was functioning as normal The customer returned with the engine light on again with the same codes present We then performed a full electrical diagnosis for hours at no charge and determined that the driver bank in the main computer has failed causing the check engine lite to comeThis diagnostic also determined that the osensor installed was still funtioning properly We explained to the customer this needed to be replaced and was not part of the original repair but the diagnostics performed were at no charge and goodwill He declined to have the work performed at this time

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me Regards, [redacted] ***

Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 5, 2014/08/01) */ After receiving the complaint on Wednesday I called Mr [redacted] on Thursday morningI apologized for our lack of service and asked Mr [redacted] how we could make it rightMr [redacted] replied that he feels he deserves his money backI told him I agreed with him and said that I would refund in full his payment of $Mr [redacted] said he thought that was fair I then asked Mr [redacted] since he thought the settlement was fair would he object to contacting the Revdex.com to let them know the matter had been resolvedHe said he would be happy to contact the Revdex.comThat was the end of our conversation

Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 5, 2016/01/15) */ [redacted] It is possible for a leak to self-seal during testing proceduresIt is common for us to return at a continuation rate for further testing I contacted Mr [redacted] on 1/to discuss the Revdex.com complaintI asked him if it would be okay for us to refund him the amount of He said yes, that he would appreciate thatI told him that we would release the funds today and depending on his bank it would be released back to him within a couple of daysHe was satisfied with the response

Revdex.com spoke to [redacted] at business and the following was relayed: He stated his position of $as a good faith offer toward any related bill still stands

Complaint: I am rejecting this response because: On the FIRST day they did the test on 07.30.14, they tested the skimmer ( its written on the Work Order Form by American Leak Detection on that they did “Dye Test on the Skimmer throat was negative for water loss.” The reason why they did dye test on the skimmer was because it showed wear and tear and they suspected that skimmer could be a possibility, but they did dye test and found NO LEAK thereSo when American Leak Detection is claiming that there was a leak on the skimmer and American Leak Detection claiming we hired another company to repair a leak in the skimmer is totally false After initial repair was done by American Leak Detection, we called them as soon as we could to schedule them to come back because leak was not fixedBefore repair was done water level was going down to a specific level at the edge of one of the jets and was not going down below that levelAfter the American Leak Detection did the repair, the water level was going down to the SAME EXACT LEVELWe called them to come back and figure it out, and all they did was test the hole that they capped offThe leak was clearly somewhere else besides what they capped offThis is clearly proven when they did the FINAL leak detection in March of and did Leak Detection where they claimed that they can not find a leak though pressure test on the pipes and though process of elimination leak must be at one of the drain pipes on the floor and days later I hired another company to do leak detection and they clearly found the leak in one of the jetsThe new company did the repair on the jet line that they found which fixed the leakThis was the original leak that American Leak Detection should have found on 07.30.14, its clear that they never found a leak, and based on guessing they did work on a working pipe and leak persisted and refuse to trouble shoot furtherEvery time I called American Leak Detection after the work done, all they did is test the pipe they worked on which is clearly not the place where water was leaking fromIts very clear, I contracted American Leak Detection because our spa had a leakThey were paid to find the leak and then fix the leakThe leak did not get fixed Even after all these issues, they did another leak detection and they did not find a leak, and only days after another company was contracted to find the leak and they found the leak and they fixed the leakThe entire process with American Leak Detection was Fraud, and I should not only be compensated for leak detection and work done, but also should be paid what the new company charged to finally find and fix the leak Regards, [redacted]

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:once again, I paid $250 to find where is the leak. To give me advice was very nice, and I also accept it, just not able to afford it at the moment, that's why I decided to fix the leak. Why to give me back $150 if I paid $250 for something that was not correct after all? Mr. [redacted] focus on his advice and not on the service that was suppose to do. Again, he did his job, but he was wrong with his diagnosed, if I accepted the fact that I paid plumber $600 to dig twice for no reason, why he can not accept the fact that there was no leaks at the two spots where he indicated as the problem. Regards, [redacted]
