Hello Unfortunately our final invoice from spring of was never paidWith an outstanding balance remaining on this project I will be unable to assist in any issues until this is addressedOne of the written conditions of our warranty is that the warranty will be considered void if any monies are owedAlso our warranty has a One year and a Five year componentThe concerns you have mentioned are not covered under the year warranty as the period after one year is limited to structural issuesIt has been more then two years since we have had any contact from youI certainly wish to handle any issues and I will be happy to meet with you to address your concerns as long as we can reach an agreement on the outstanding invoiceWhen would be a good time for you to come in and discuss these issues?

I am rejecting this response because: When I had spoke with the general manager Kurt about it he had made accusations against us in his words saying "you were waiting for her in the parking lot" he made excuses for this bartender and why her acting out violently was acceptableWe were disrespected and mistreated all because we had a question about our billAt no point in the night were we asked to leave or refused service of any kindI just hope this does not happen in the future to any one elseI feel I would like to get in touch with the owner or someone above him because his apology was not sincere and was not even a apology

Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 5, 2015/07/11) */ Hello I am glad to hear the job was done and stayed on schedule! Unfortunately maintenance of a yard is forever a concern and can never be made to zero! The maintenance required can be difficult for anyone disabled and even "low" maintenance could be to difficultI would recommend talking to your doctor for what would be acceptable The Maintenance however must be done in order to keep the yard looking goodI would highly suggest that if you are not able to do the maintenance for your yard that you hire a landscape company to come and complete the work for you! As you indicated, you did not engage Greentree to do any ongoing maintenance work for your yard There is warranty on your project however the warranty does not cover any required maintenance itemsIn the owners manual we provided it does outline much of what is needed to maintain your yardA couple of specific points that would apply here include; Mulch should be topped up each spring to maintain a 2-inch depth; Weeding the area regularly will prevent root systems from forming The trouble with weeds is that if you don't get them on a weekly basis they form a larger and larger root system making them difficult to remove; left to long and they will go to seed and spread very very quickly! Doing the weeding in mulch each week and topping up the mulch each spring would keep the area to be considered low maintenanceHowever when left it will quickly get out of control and seem unmanageable! This recommended maintenance was not included in your project nor is it included in warrantyNow unfortunately since you did not top up the mulch this spring nor keep up on the weeds it has become a larger problem that seems unmanageableHowever once you remove all the weeds and top up the mulch to the right depth it will be much more easily maintained if done weekly The Mulch was installed and completed for you last year and if there was any concern with the mulch we would have needed to know last year! This year in the spring when normally the mulch would needed to be topped up does not suggest that we did not complete the project correctly last year The ribbons left in the tree were likely not seen last year when the plant was full of leavesThen they were likely visible this winter when the trees had no leavesThis is certainly unsightly in the winter and I can have them removed for you! The plants do have a warranty and the ones that did not survive this year should be replacedAs long as there is no physical damage to the plants I can certainly have them replaced for you! In summery your points & would be a maintenance issue and if you would like them done by greentree their would be an additional costYour points & I can certainly take care of for you at no cost Initial Consumer Rebuttal / [redacted] (3000, 7, 2015/07/20) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) Terrible experience Designer Corey C*** Owner Gordon N*** Project started one month later than we were told, emails and telephone calls not returned to keep us updatedSeveral meetings cancelled at the last minuteMinimal respect shown for our time or scheduleWe were promised Greentree does not start another project until ours was completedOur project was to be or working days, it was completed in weeks Sloppy work included old concrete buried in the garden, fence rails buried in dirt, posts set incorrectly, and root balls on some shrubs exposed after planting just to name a fewMost plants and shrubs placed incorrectly, many not even in the correct bedsThe final design plan was not on site and the plan on site was not followedGreentree misrepresented what processes would be used, who was on their staff, how some materials would be selected and positioned and how something would be completed (most notably the grading)When things went wrong Greentree was unapologetic and accusatoryThe concrete subcontractor was Tom, he communicated very well, answered emails and phone calls in a timely manner and would call if plans changed I cannot recommend anyone use Greentree Oudoor Living

Our experience with Greentree was very, very pleasant From the initial meeting in early April they kept all of their promised deadlines A subsequent meeting on site resulted in our amending the initial size of our renovation resulting in a design that really complimented our home The crew on site was extremely hard working, pleasant, made suggestions as they went along and made every attempt to minimize damage to the existing landscaping by using wheelbarrows rather than mechanized equipment The clean up on the front street and in our yard was excellent I would strongly recommend Greentree in the future

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/07/11) */
Hello
I am glad to hear the job was done and stayed on schedule!
Unfortunately maintenance of a yard is forever a concern and can never be made to zero! The maintenance required can be difficult for anyone disabled and even "low"...

maintenance could be to difficult. I would recommend talking to your doctor for what would be acceptable.
The Maintenance however must be done in order to keep the yard looking good. I would highly suggest that if you are not able to do the maintenance for your yard that you hire a landscape company to come and complete the work for you! As you indicated, you did not engage Greentree to do any ongoing maintenance work for your yard.
There is warranty on your project however the warranty does not cover any required maintenance items. In the owners manual we provided it does outline much of what is needed to maintain your yard. A couple of specific points that would apply here include; Mulch should be topped up each spring to maintain a 2-4 inch depth; Weeding the area regularly will prevent root systems from forming.
The trouble with weeds is that if you don't get them on a weekly basis they form a larger and larger root system making them difficult to remove; left to long and they will go to seed and spread very very quickly! Doing the weeding in mulch each week and topping up the mulch each spring would keep the area to be considered low maintenance. However when left it will quickly get out of control and seem unmanageable! This recommended maintenance was not included in your project nor is it included in warranty. Now unfortunately since you did not top up the mulch this spring nor keep up on the weeds it has become a larger problem that seems unmanageable. However once you remove all the weeds and top up the mulch to the right depth it will be much more easily maintained if done weekly.
The Mulch was installed and completed for you last year and if there was any concern with the mulch we would have needed to know last year! This year in the spring when normally the mulch would needed to be topped up does not suggest that we did not complete the project correctly last year.
The ribbons left in the tree were likely not seen last year when the plant was full of leaves. Then they were likely visible this winter when the trees had no leaves. This is certainly unsightly in the winter and I can have them removed for you!
The plants do have a warranty and the ones that did not survive this year should be replaced. As long as there is no physical damage to the plants I can certainly have them replaced for you!
In summery your points 1 & 3 would be a maintenance issue and if you would like them done by greentree their would be an additional cost. Your points 2 & 4 I can certainly take care of for you at no cost.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/07/20) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I suppose it is easy to stay on schedule when the work is poorly done.
Please review both my email of June 20th and the complaint above. Efforts to control the weeds were made from the time your crew left and are ongoing today. [redacted]
I contest your assertion that the mulch was properly installed last year. We were told by two people in your company, one was yourself in a phone conversation, that the proper level of mulch was never installed. If you would bother to come view the property, you would see that the plant beds were done in a way that would make it impossible to have 2-4 inches of mulch. The bottom line is that the tens of thousands of dollars I spent to install a low maintenance yard has resulted in a yard that is more maintenance than my original one.
However, I acknowledge that I should have advised your company of the problem earlier as it was evident within weeks of the work being done. My mistake was in trusting your company to stand by the work done and believing that problems would be fairly addressed the following spring. I have already hired another company [redacted] I therefore am no longer asking you to do anything about the weeds or inadequate mulch levels.
As to my first point, improperly removed vegetation, this I will not concede. My work proposal clearly states that all vegetation in the front yard would be removed. It was not done and is growing through the plants that your company planted. This is clearly not a maintenance issue but one of work being done poorly.
As to my second point, replace all dead vegetation, I am satisfied to hear you will honor your warranty. I have already sent you extensive pictures of the plants that have died and have been asking for this work to be done since May 18th. I would appreciate an estimate as to the time frame when this work will actually be done.
Finally, as to the issue of the ribbons left in the trees, while I am satisfied to hear you will remove them, please don't try to make excuses. The trees were not fully mature when planted and the ribbons were clearly visible. I pointed them out to the designer in the final walk-through and he assured me then that this mistake would be corrected. I have now been waiting for this to be done for nearly a year. Again, I would appreciate an estimate as to the time frame when this work will actually be done.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 12, 2015/08/18) */
Certainly, I would happily agree to replace the plants covered under our plant warranty. I can also agree to remove ribbons left on the trees for you.
We should be able to have this work completed within 3 weeks, if we are in agreement!

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/07/28) */

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/07/30) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Our Deck is not built according to code and we would like it finished so we can use it sometime before summer. Please provide a date when you will fix all the addressed items on our deficiency list. Please respond in 48 hours. I have not heard a response in over two weeks when my deck will be fixed. I will be getting quotations from other contractors to fix or remove the deck. I contracted green tree over 4 months ago and I still do not have a deck that is up to city code. I would like to have some sort of closure or I will contract another company to complete this job.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 19, 2015/10/06) */
Certainly, however I fear going back and forth through this System may be a little slow to connect!
Please call the office @ XXX-XXX-XXXX and then we can set up a time to meet. Likely Audrey will answer and just ask to book a meeting with Gordon or Zac.
Regards
Final Consumer Response /* (2000, 21, 2015/10/14) */
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
Please have Zac or Gordan call me as I have left a message for them to call me. XXX XXX XXXX
